good going Sojo-keep it up!

Noodles, are you a bowling queen or what?

I walked home from work last night for the first time in 2 weeks - it has just been too darn cold lately. It was a bit milder yesterday and I enjoyed the 25 minute walk. I will try to do it tonight too.

Yeah. I just found out I have lats.
And there's this muscle in my chest that's been hurting for a couple of months... everytime I sneeze, it feels like I'm having a heart attack. I think I must have pulled something...
Hey... this was mentioned before, but are there any videos for bellydancing, girls?

Yes - I like the Goddess Belly dance videos by Dolphina - you can get them at Chapters and at Buymore- oops ! I mean Best Buy. I also own tapes by the twins Neena and Veena - they are more fitness based on dance moves rather than learning how to belly dance.

Aphil, the queen of belly dance videos/dvds will probably have some good suggestions for those just starting out.

Thanks, Mauvais! It doesn't seem possible for a British person to belly dance (due to stiffness), but if you can do it, maybe I can, too. I need to tighten up some areas, and I think that may do it.

You are welcome ellis- you can find Neena & Veena tapes at Buy More, Wal-mart and sometimes Chapters. There is a Basic Moves tape by Neena and Veena that I hear is very good too

You should come to one of my classes and check it out to see if you like it - you can just watch or join in and then see how you feel about taking a class

The beauty of bellydance is you don't have to be athletic to be good at it. It is fun - works the muscles everywhere and is grate for toning - I actually have abs now- they were there - just lying dormant. And you use your arms too so they get toned up

You don't need any special equipment or clothing and you can practice in your own home even if you do not have a lot of space.

Hey Ellis

Ditto to what Mauvais said. Belly dancing is the first exercise that I have persued for more than a month. Even in this frigid weather, I wouldn't miss a class. I have fun, I'm being physically challenged, great music, beautiful costumes.....I could go on.

Have been doing alot of indoor cardio type stuff--rowing machine, and treadmill, etc. Negelcting muscles---so today popped in Cathe Freidrich's Muscle Endurance. Hmm--I shouldn't neglect my muscles. I used to be able to do this one with heavier weights than I did today and without turnign off the VCR so often...

Poor poochie wants to go outside for a walk so badly--but it is only 17 degrees right now, and that is a heat wave compared to what we've had lately. If it really does get up to the mid 20's today as promised, I will take him for a short one. I can tell he gets sort of depressed---just like we do---when he doesn't get some exercise.

Did one of my belly dance videos today, followed by housework

Good for you for doing your cardio Cheryl
Please bundle up and take your pup for a short walk - it will probably do you both some good
