aw, you guys are such a great support! I went to my mothers the other day and all she could do was make snide remarks about how fat I was...every thing I brought up turned into a discussion about that...Here is an example:
my mother in law brought back my wedding dress where I left it at her house some 23 years ago. When I opened the box, it was still perfectly white (granted it was double knit, polyester, flame resistant, no natureal fiber content whatsoever) but I was impressed. When I told my mother this, she said, 'well, it aint like you are gonna fit in it again.' subtle but effective
So, you guys are the only source of encouragement I got, and I really appreciate you all.

I am still deciding which is better, the 50 pounds or the fresh air, but as I still fell like crap, I think I gotta go with the fresh air. Do you know, the CDC, the Michigan health department, and the hospital have NEVER checked up on me AND no one has told me the results of the tests. If I had SARS, (and I easily could have) I could have been out wandering the world coughing on everyone.

anyway, heres to the next 50...!

Ginya-I'm sorry that your mother is being so unsupportive. Losing 50 pounds is a MAJOR accomplishment, and you deserve lots of accolades for doing such a great job. It takes so much work and effort and denying yourself to even lose 5 pounds, and you have lost 10 times that!!!! Keep up the good work sweetie!!! (Hope you feel better soon.)

Ginya... so sorry about your Mother's remarks. A psychologist may be required. Sojo could help us out with the answer. Sojo?

Maybe it's a jealousy thing. MY Mother isn't a mom to me... she acts like I'm HER mom! So maybe something like that is happening with you, too. My Mom weighs 50 pounds less than I do, and she complains to me everytime she gains a half a pound. grrrrrrr.

I love your description of your wedding dress.

Hang in there, hon... you're doing GREAT!!
