What is your craft? Pieces you're most proud of? What are you currently working on?

I'm an amateur seamstress. I tend to "dabble more than I sew". Currently, I am working on a skirt for my nieces birthday.

i love diy ...i've been longing to start my blog but i keep postponing it. but i decided that when i get back home i will start blogging.
i like sewing...especially turning old things into new and things that are too big to fit me as i lose weight because i can't throw them away. i'm a bit hoarder :D
beside sewing i like creating stuff, drawing, taking pictures...i also make jewelry ...if i find something that looks boring i always look for a way to change it, alter, paint...so it becomes nice and interesting ;)

I wish I could actually sew. I can throw together an acceptable bunting banner but that's about it lol.

The hubby and I diy renovations... of any kind. Starting from the design (we've been known to tear down walls, relocate kitchens etc) right down to the plumbing, tiling, electrical and painting. We throw in the occasion furniture revamp. Oh and hubby is a carpenter so we do a lot of combined diy pieces, atm we're slowly working on an upholstered bed.

I have a lot of stuff I want to do. I am good at tearing apart stuff that doesn't fit to make new stuff. I will post the small child's skirts when I finish those.

My great-grandfather started a carpentry company that's been in the family since and my father has taught me (and still is) everything he knows so I really enjoy building everything from sheds to decks and more. As it is, I think I am most proud of the sets I build for the school-I-teach-at's theatre program; I like giving the kids something awesome to showcase their skills on. :D

I love carpentry, but I am not good at it.

Hey! Im a big DIYer with my fiance. He is a carpenter ad he's always bringing old stuff home for us to re-purpose. I also love sewing when I have time... Im by no means knowledgeable.. but just putter around till I like it. On the verge of working on a vintage looking apron!

I knit! Nothing too complicated yet, but I made my friends scarves and hats for christmas that they both loved. And several dish rags that are very useful. If my dog would hold still long enough for mesaurments I might start working on a doggy sweater for him (my theory is he knows this which is why he runs when he sees the tape measure).

I'm trying to learn to crochet...I can make a really long chain. I used to know how to sew, but I haven't done it in years (like over a decade). I want to learn to do rennovation stuff, like I really want to be able to tear down a wall, or install a sink or something. It seems so cool to know that stuff.

I make jewelry. Nothing advanced, mostly DIY kits. I just brought a how to crochet kit and some yarn so I'm gonna try to learn how to crochet. :)

lilmsstrange i havn't knit FOREVER! All i could ever really do were the basic scarves. ALL my firends and family got scarves for christmas that year! hehe

I recently started making stuffed animals out of felt. They aren't the best, but my small people enjoy them.

I'd want to learn to sew! I've sewn a few things--curtains and other square objects like pillows, but nothing wearable.

I make chainmail armor and jewelry. I also homebrew bear and mead. I'd love to try making cheese, but haven't attempted it yet!

Love craftalafting. The problem is that everything is equally as awesome.

Probably sewing is my first love. But i also enjoy embroidery, cross-stitch, wreath-making, glass-etching, jewelry-making, knitting, crocheting...

Didn't say I was good at it, mind you-but I enjoy doing it. Haha.

but for now i dabble in repurposing things painting and jewlery making nothing advanced though

I've knitted and done cross stitch, embroidery, and needle point for years.....to the point where I wanted to find something new. Just started doing kumihimo braiding. Which has resulted in wanting to also learn micro-macrame. Which has resulted in wanting to learn how to make jewelry. Right now I have a lot of books and not too many projects!:dizzy:

My new obsession is refinishing furniture. I haven't started it yet, but I'm bound and determined to learn.

I'm good enough at sewing to make clothes if I wanted to, but for some reason it stresses me out SO BAD! So I rarely do it except for the occasional costume making. My crafts of choice are cross-stitch, crochet, screen printing, and needle-felting, though I dabble in pretty much everything. Right now most of my crafty time is taken up by working on needle-felted catnip toys, which I sell.

I can sew a little. I am not very good at it though. I have made a few Halloween costumes (because I could never buy anything that fit!) Even made a couple purses over the years. Made a few curtains, I plan to make a few more. I plan on stripping and refinishing some MCM end tables that I inherited from my grandmother! Very excited for those. My boyfriend is getting into building his own speaker boxes (fancy ones) and I am hoping to convince him to build me a few things that DON'T make noise :lol: I hope to get into it more as I get more energy (and the weather gets warm) :flow2:

I'm a knitter/crocheter! Actually, since I lost my job, selling handmade stuff has become my main income!

My husband and I are doing superhero costumes! :D

This would be me! I sew a TON for the house and kiddos, I'm excited to sew for myself once I have a body that inspires me to do so!

I knit, craft, scrapbook, make cards and wreaths. I have made tons of scarves, shawls/wraps and a case for my kindle fire. I think I enjoy making wreaths more than anything. I already have at least one for each month, season, holiday...so many that storage is becoming an issue. I have a little bit of a Pinterest problem, too. ;)

I've been trying to get into DIY. I am not great at sewing but I've made a few tops based on altering old tops/dresses that I already owned. I am working on re-doing furniture pieces and/or re-purposing old items. I am working on making a set of shelves by removing drawers from an old piece of furniture, making some adjustments and then mounting them to the wall.

I've also been using interesting glasses/jars etc. To create storage units. I want to make a large tiered spool-type shelf on a lazy susan, and then load it with jars/glasses that are filled with my jewelry, makeup, hair products, safety pins, etc. to put on my dresser.

I redid my half bath last year (well, I finished it last year it took me 14 months!) I had paint leftover, so I decided about a month ago to redo the main bath in a similar way. I'm having trouble getting all the old stickiness (from the removed vinyl tiles) off the sub floor, but the new paint looks nice.

Do you need to get all the stickiness off? I assume the new tile will go straight over and the thinset mortar gives you some leeway as long as there are not big bumps.

the new tiles are also sticky tiles - really nice though, they look like slate. I used them in the half bath and they look great. I'm not sure I have to get all the sticky off, its just difficult to get any particles that are stuck (like drywall dust etc) to the subfloor off, and I'm not sure how much leeway I will have, that's my concern. I didn't have that problem in the half bath because there was glued down carpet (!??) over the luan subfloor, which was fairly easy to scrape/sand off to a nice smooth clean surface. I'm probably over thinking it.

I like to knit! I've done a lot of scarves and one really ugly hat (protip: if you are gonna try and make a mohawk hat, maybe don't choose red yarn for the mohawk, because there is an 85% chance it will make you look like a giant rooster)

I'm thinking about getting into cross-stitching. My mom was really good at it, and I really like the way it looks. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good website or resource for beginners?

I used to do it all, but there's not much room for big projects where I live currently. I like to make jewelry too, especially earrings. That, and cosplay stuff of course. I need to get better at sewing :) practice practice practice

I embroider. Taught myself after seeing Sublime Stitchings patterns. LOVE her style!

Hubby is a master carpenter and together we have completely re-done our house. Well, mostly him. I follow directions very well. ;) Hold things, hand things and carry them are my specialty. I also cook for anyone that is here helping us out. I think we may be done now. Thankfully. It's been a long 10 years working on this house.

I try to make jewelry with my daughters and all sorts of other crafts. Hoping they'll find their niche. Photography is a passion of all of ours.

Unfortunately, I have crafter's ADD, so instead of mastering one craft, I dabble in dozens. Crochet is probably the one I'm most proficient in, especially in making stuffed critters. I'd like to write and sell patterns, but my dabblings keep getting in the way (since I like the original creating process more than the technical reverse engineering process).

I sew, but my skills are pretty basic. I don't normally sew clothing, but when I couldn't find a replacement for my favorite knit pants, I traced them onto fabric and sewed two pair. I eliminated the outer side seam by placing that seam edge onto the fold. I simplified the waist (since it wasn't going to show). The waist seam looks pretty rough, but it's always covered).

I tend to be a "short cut" sewer. I'd rather use a simple pattern and a beautiful, forgiving fabric.

I also like an array of doll crafts. Costuming and fashion doll repaints are my favorites. I use barbie and other fashion dolls and turn them into fairies, centaurs, mermaids, and other fantasy creatures and characters.

Right now, I'm sewing clothes for myself, because I need to, but I want to get back to my doll wigmaking.

I'm also working on a novel.
