Angry Qotd-cds

Question of the Day

What CD would you pick if...

...you wanted to relax?
...to be sentimental?
...to get energized?
...to clean house?
...to feel good?

Bonus question...What "albulm" do you have in all 3 versions, vinyl, cassette and cd?

What CD would you pick if...

...you wanted to relax? Dreams of Angels-Music for Health and Wellness by Life Beats
...to be sentimental? Starfish by the Church
...to get energized? Three way tie...either Pearl Jam, ALice in Chains or Beasty Boys
...to clean house? Best of Fleetwood MAc or Stevie Nicks
...to feel good? Squeeze {singles 45 and under } or Violent Fems {add it up} Best of Bread is really up there too.

Bonus question...What "albulm" do you have in all 3 versions, vinyl, cassette and cd? Dark side of the moon by Pink Floyd, Church's Starfish and so many Beatles I am not gonna list here.

To relax: Pachelbel's Canon plus whatever else is on the CD - baroque chamber stuff usually, but I just LOVE Pachelbel!

Sentimental: music of my 20s (the 1980s) - Steely Dan, Brian Eno, and oh yes! Blue by Joni Mitchell, no question. And Ladies of the Canyon. And Surfacing by Sarah McLachlan.

Energizing: Rolling Stones greatest hits & Steel Wheels

Cleaning house: there is no CD that would make me want to clean the house! I wish there was! But I will say the Beatles' One because at least I'd be in a good mood (I love my compilations...!) And my fave real Beatles albums are Revolver & Rubber Soul, so I could clean to them too!

for feeling good: any of the tapes I make for running, which are a mix of all my faves from the 60s on. Someof the tracks off the Barenaked Ladies' Gordon make me laugh out loud, which feels very good, like "Be My Yoko Ono"..

Excellent thread, Flower, by the way!

Spawn is a darn good house cleaning cd! Chris-I have a huge collection of punk on vinyl. {I have over 400+ 80's} My first husband was a DJ in 85-87 at UNLV. He was a mod. I inherited it all. Along w/ star trek collectables and ornaments, comic books, sports cards, beatles stuff, the list goes on and on. I do hope his boys appreciate how many hours I spent entertaining him while collecting his treasures.
