January Challenge
I have decided that I want to reach my goal weight before May 1, 2003.
I really have to get with the program this time as I have been waffling about and not taking things that seriously for the last 2 months or so
Time to get back OP and onto a regular exercise program!
I am challenging myself to lose 3 to 5lbs by January 31st.
Anyone else up for a mini challenge?
Starting weight: 185lbs
Current weight: 158lbs
Goal weight: 145 lbs
Mini-goal: lose 3-5lbs by January 31st

OK!
I'm with you. I would like to lose three to six pounds by the time I leave for Thailand, which is January 24th. That gives me a little over three weeks and I can surely lose 1 to 2 pounds a week if I put my mind to it. So I'm starting out this year with a beginning weight of at 188.5.
I really think this is going to be my year... and I already have lost about ten pounds. What a way to head into the new year!

I'm with you too! I would realistically like to aim for losing 5 lbs by the end of January which would put me roughly at 140 lbs.

Yeah, I'm in.
Starting weight 196 (all time high)
current weight 179 (or so, I'll check for sure tomorrow)
long term goal 135 (approx...I'll see when I get closer to goal)
goal for January 31st 174ish
(I weighed 172 two days after I had that intestinal virus... wish that number would come back again...so close and yet so far!)
I'm up for losing 3 to 5 by the 31st.
Lets do it chickies!
Love Soozie
ps...should we post our weight in here for the month?

OK!!! OK!!! Quit nagging - I'm in. However, my goal is to reduce blood sugar levels along with weight. I'll post the levels as BGL. By the way, in Canada we measure differently so multiply by 18 if you need to compare to American measurements.
SW: 208.5 as of today - was 212 yesterday (great NY party!)
GW. 203.5 by Jan 31
SBGL: 8.3 down from 9.8 yesterday
GBGL: below 7

Okay, well thanks to the stomach flu, I've already reached goal.
What's next?
... if I can just eat properly from now on...

I would like to lose 8 lbs by Jan 30th. That is two a week. I can do it! I need small goals to motivate me I think. My longer goal is down 50 more by June 26th.
Starting weight 270
Current is 235
First goal 185
Long term goal is 145 by November 13th, 2003
I can do it! Yes I can!

I'm up for the challenge.
And I'm with Wanttolosealot - 8 pounds for me this month... I've just started and still have lots to lose, lol. Just hope I don't lose it like Ellis or Soozie with a stomach bug. (PS - hope you're both feeling better!)

Although 7 would be nice, I'll settle for anything less than I am right now!
I'm 3 days in and doing ok so far, got the challenge of going back to look forward to though!

I'm joining in too, although for me it will be to get on track and STAY there. If I lose ANYTHING I'll be happy because I have been gaining steadily since last September.
