Wellll....since you asked, Kat..."auld lang syne" is from an old Scottish song circa the 1700's, associated with Robert Burns. It means "times gone by" or more currently interpreted as "old time's sake".
Yet another useless bit of trivial information running 'round my noggin.

Happy New Years again.
My sister and I spent a wonderful night in Hamilton with The Tragically Hip. They played for over 2 hours, right through midnight. At 11:59 the count down begain on the score board while they continued to play "Long Time Running", at midnight Streammers and balloons everywhere, and the Hip still singing the chorus - "It's been a long time coming, but it's well worth the wait". Really an amazing sight. They played until about 12:30. The drive home was awful. Hamilton is a wonderful city, but very confusing. I got lost a few times. Finally reached the boarder at 2:30. One of these days they are not going to let me back in the US. I was tired and snippy to the customs man. He was not very nice either. When I told him where my sister and I had been, he just looked at me and said the concert had been over for "hours". I told him I had gotten lost. It takes a good 45 minutes to an hour to get from the Peace Bridge to downtown Hamilton anyway. Plus traffic.
Oh well. I still have to finish cleaning, my whole family is coming over this afternoon. The last time a few of them where here it was still my grandmother's apt. I have lived here for almost a year. There are going to be almost 20 people and I have no where to put them

Oh shoot, squeaker....if I'd known you were coming to Hamilton, you could have bunked at my place for the night instead of driving back! I'm only a 10 minute drive from downtown Hamilton! Hamilton is an awful city for driving in...all those stupid one way streets!!! Glad you had a good time at the concert!
