Last work day this year!!!

I almost have all the crap outta my house. I dumped the garbage this morning and felt something that felt like M&M's loose in the bottom of the bag - aaah, the bridge mix I threw away.... Buh-bye nasty food!!!!

Wildfire - I'll start with you!! This weekend I got out my WW stuff - journals, points slider, etc. Today I'm going shopping to get some "normal" food in the house and hopefully the weather will cooperate and I can get back to Curves!! I'm so done with all the Christmas eating!!!

Mauvais - Throw it out or put it in the freezer so that you have to make an effort to get to it. Or, send it to someone you want to have a really big butt...

Hi ho, hi ho...

Terri

Hi chickies.

Today I consolidated all the damned chocolate into one box. I pitched the el cheapos, including the remains of the maraschino cherry chocolates. I can't believe I used to love those!

Gail was here, the tree is still looking good, the silver is finally polished (Thanks, Gail!) and we are still sort of Christmassing.

Today is our 19th anniversary but we are not going out to dinner. Too damned dark and cold and far to go for a classy dinner. Swiss Chalet in Brockville is NOT acceptable! We will go out later in January - I'm checking limo service - I AM SERIOUS! I want to have a couple of martinis, wine with dinner and then a brandy and NOT have to drive. Anyhow, tonight is stay at home with a roast chicken dinner.

Tomorrow we go to Bob's NY's Eve - oysters and champagne to start and this year I will not get stuck in the kitchen with the two male shuckers. SHUCKERS, I said. Never let anybody know you know how to do certain things - opening oysters and cleaning squid are two skills you should keep secret. It should be fun and is always very elegant. Bob usually ensures that I sit between two straight men so I get to flirt a lot.

Need to get cracking at some sewing now that my wrists are getting back to normal. I can now lift a 12 pack of beer. Whoopee!

Angry Finally!

Well, we finally made it home from our week of holiday festivities and we are both still sane. We ended up staying with family for four nights with an end result of SEVEN days with family and friends. I can't believe we survived... I even managed to handle the in-laws with some level of dignitiy intact.

But its FINALLY OVER!!

Now I am sure I have packed on a few pounds this week, as I always eat horribly at my mother's house. However today is a new day and I am back on track starting this very instant.

HAPPY 19TH ANNIVERSARY, RUTH!!!

Wow...19 years...you go, girl! That's something to be darn proud of these days! I like the limo thing. ...and even though you CAN lift a 12 pack of beer, it doesn't mean you have drink them all at once!

Punkin, you're on! I just dug out my WW stuff a few days ago. I'm not strictly counting yet, but I'm easing into it and I'll be ready to go on our Valentine's challenge!

Sojo...7 days with family and friends...I'd be certifiable! (ok, so most days I am anyway) You need some serious downtime!

Mauv...OMG....all the stuff! Take it to work! If they're anything like the vultures I work with, it'll be gone in 3 seconds flat! I didn't buy any chocolate because I knew it would just be the three of us this year and I'd be the one eating it! Same with baking...I made a pie for Christmas dinner and one batch of peanut butter cookies...and you know what? No one suffered from the lack of sweets!

Happy 19th anniversary, Ruth!

Yeah, you know, I'm gonna put all the evil chocolates into one opaque container too! I see it, I eat it...I'm gonna go do that now.
I will be back later, my dears...

WIldfire you are so right - I didn't bake lots this year and I haven't heard any complaints...I only made them mince tarts and only DH eats them. And the d*** trifle which is long gone mostly into DH's tum, which is good - he never gains an ounce!

See you later when candy is hidden!
