Usually, on CHristmas eve, we just jump in the van and roam around looking at all the lights and decorations. However, this year we have been invited to share the traditions with Pam and her family. We are going over for dinner, then we will watch Christmas movies, sing songs, play games, snack some more on sweets, talk, laugh and share our thoughts for the new year. I am very much looking forward to it.

I feel pretty good about Christmas this year. We have not felt any gift giving/shopping pressure and I feel more in the holiday spirit because of it. I am actually enjoying the music, decorations and lights instead of hustling through the chaos of the malls. We are going to take a walk up to Parliament Hill this weekend to see the light display at night.

How nice Mauvaisroux! I wish I had been more dilligent in the beginning and was sitting back enjoying it all now. I plan to do a lot of baking on Friday and the weekend. hopefully do some more shopping tonight, and of course wrapping. I wish DH liked to do some of it, but oh no, it is left to me. Yeah!

Yay! It's Christmas Eve tomorrow and all of our friends are coming over~ I'm really looking forward to it! This is the best part of Christmas for me
I just have to set the table for tomorrow night, get dolled up, pour myself a glass of wine and play hostess.

Well, we had a great three days with family and friends.
Our open house was a success and the last few people left at 1:30 in the morning
We had a nice quiet dinner with just my parents on Christmas day and then watched the movie "The 13th Warrior".
On Boxing day we drove down to see DH's day and then came back and cooked a turkey dinner for 6 people.
I have today off and am planning to relax then we are visiting some friends tonight.
Phew! Jam packed holiday but well worth it
