Ok, So I've joined Weight Watchers, and I was wondering what you all think...

of it. Do you belong? Do you like it? I am on 33 points a day, and that seems a bit low, but then I get to eat all of the veg I want so thats good. I also get a point for every 20 minutes of activity. Anyone up for two hours of dancing? LOL!

Like 'em. I worked for them - as a leader for almost 3 years before the family biz beckoned and I quit. I loved that job!

I still kinda follow the plan, not as *closely* as I should be... but I think they've got a good plan as long as you have some sense of what a "healthy diet" is. I *have* been known to blow all 26 points on Healthy Choice ice cream! ;) I know better, but I worry that someone else wouldn't see the error of spending their points on just whatever as long as they didn't go over.

Good program, have done it four times now. No great success, but that isn't the fault of the program. Be sure to pay attention to the recommended points per day on each food group. Yes, you can eat all 33pts in high-sugar carbs, but that isn't necessarily a good thing.

I do get tired of counting points, but once you learn the points per serving of food you eat regularly, you'll never forget it. Like an egg is two points, and always will be two points.

Each time I stopped going to the meetings it was because I was losing interest, and paying $15.00 a week for something I was doing half-heartedly wasn't justifiable. If I could find a buddy who would go with me and keep going with me, I'd probably do much better.

I hope it works for you, because when it works, it works really well.

Thanks for the your responses. I like the fact that you can eat whatever you want, I have been eating low fat fods for two months now, and I have been doing well, but I thought the social aspect, and the weekly weigh ins would help keep me motivated. I love vegetables, so I am happy that they are 0 points, and I use little to no butter on them so that's good. I am going to just try and stay within my point range, make the best choices I can and get some exercise in. I think I should do ok.
