Talking Hi there everyone! I'm new!!! *waves*

I thought that since I am definately an alternachick I thought I would post my introduction in here.

Ok, a bit about me- I am in my early to mid 30's, who has gone back to school to get her second degree in communications, my first one is in english. I am a writer, I write mostly cyberpunk, fantasy, some goth/horror, and mainstream fiction. I am currently about 150 lbs. over weight, and am eating healthy foods, and trying to exercise. I am planning on joining Weight Watchers because I think the socializing would be good for me. Um, hmmm lets see... what else- Oh yeah. I'm a left liberal feminist, and I don't care who knows it. LOL! and I hope to make lots of friends here, and to lose lots of weight and get healthy.

Favorite movies- Blade Runner, Metropolis, Mame, the Shining, But I'm a Cheerleader!, anything with Angelina Jolie (she is such a babe!), Tank Girl, ah there are so many!

Books/ authors- Stephen King, Richard Paul Russo, William Gibson, Sylvia Plath (The Bell Jar was about the best book ever!), Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald (love Gatsby!) Pat Cadigan, Marion Zimmer Bradley (RIP), Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, Theodore Weesner (he's from my home town). Ah so many! LOL!

Music- I adore The Beatles, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, The Ramones, Front 242, Blondie, Pink Floyd, and I love all kinds of different music. I like techno, punk, new wave, goth/ dark wave, old country/ bluegrass, folk, jazz, blues, rock, classical, disco (I love to dance), and ethnic music, especially middle eatern/ arabic, and oriental.

I am pretty psyched to go see Bowling For Columbine. I loved Roger and me, and again Michael Moore is from my home town, do we see a pattern here? LOL!

Than you everyone. Yeah you all sound like my kind of women . I'm glad I found this forum. I will be posting lots. I need to keep my motivation up. LOL! Who doesn't? So do we ever have picture postings so that we know what we look like? I know some forums discourage that, but I always like looking at people I have made friends with on the web.

Anyway, I said hi on the other thread. So hello here too!

Terri - very loopy today........quick! somebody pass me a margarita while I'm having a weak moment

PS - those Jolie lips are cute and pouty - do you think they're natural?

PS # 2 Anybody remember Barbara Hershey in "Beaches"? I could swear she was pumped with collagen.

Ok, I'll go put my bad self back in the closet again

Yes. Collagen. She was one of the first to have it done. It was mentioned @ the time the flim came out.

Hi everyone, you're all sweet. No Angelina's lips are real, you can tell because they're wrinkled, collagen makes them really smooth that's why they look fake. Besides Jaqueline Bissette is her godmother and she says she has baby pictures of her with the full lips. I have them too, though not quite as full, and have had people ask me if they were real, (they are, lol!).
