Default Goals for New Years Eve?

I've feel like I haven't used this year to it's full potential. I wanted to use the summer for lots of things, but just relaxed after the end of my degree, but there is still time for me to make sure I don't end up more overweight in Jan 208 than I was in Jan 2007. With 8 weeks till the 31st of December, I want to make them count, so am setting myself a few goals

By the 31st of December I would like to...

Have a regular exercise programme again
Be eating and drinking healthfully again
Have lost 14lbs

Does anyone else have goals or targets they would like to complete before 2007 is finished?

Gosh is it really only 8 weeks until 2008? Man, time flies. I'd love to start the new year at my pre-quitting smoking weight of 140. That would mean 15 lbs. in 8 weeks, and I'll try like Hades to do it, but it's totally cool if I don't as long as I am losing--I am happy.

Overall though. My goal for the new year is to keep doing what I am doing. Not give up. I am so proud of myself. This year I have started working out regularly, finally became a vegetarian (6 months strong), and I haven't gone over 1400 calories in over two months! Not one day. Not even after beer! Woohoo!!

So yeah. Goals: Stay positive and stay strong! And never give up. Become more advanced in yoga. And have more intervals in jogging.; less intervals of walking.

Good luck going2bhealthy We can do this thang!

Cheers

Way to go ollie!

By New Year's eve I would like to have lost at least 10 lbs
Go to yoga class regularly
Drink more water! (I am really bad at this in the winter)

I actually looked at my goals for this year and attained some of them:

my diet consists predominantly of whole food (the only pre-fab food in my fridge/freezer are things like condiments and hubby's toaster pastries)

I've improved some of my sleep issues

I've gotten better organized with night time and morning routines

and I do feel better

I was doing yoga and dance regularly but slacked off during the summer

I would like to lose 15 lbs by New Year's, so maybe I would look nice in one of my dressier tops (most are about a size or two too small). I also hope to have things in order to buy healthier foods (the budget has been a bit tight, so I have been buying cheap, more filling foods, which aren't really healthy). My goals for next year are to lose weight, eat healthier, develop an exercise plan, and go back to college. It sounds like a lot, but I think if I implement it in stages it is totally do-able.

By New Year's Eve I'll be at least 11lbs lighter.
I'll run for 45min. 5 days a week and I'll be doing my exersize video 2 times a week.
I''ll have my promotion at work.

Okay another one:

In 2008, I would love not too push the snooze button for an hour. O! To be an early riser...

Oh Ollie, I am soooo bad for that too! I pushed mine for 45 minutes this morning and ended up getting to the bus stop with wet hair on a 5C morning - ugh! I can't keep doing that as I have to dry my hair in the winter before going out in the freezing weather.

I too resolve not to push the snooze button more than once!

I always set my alarm half an hour early so I can push the snooze button. I find it impossible to get up on the first alarm call!!!

I decided to start running, with the couch25k programme, I downloaded the podcasts now I just have to get my butt out there and do it... so, by the 1st of Jan I'd like to be a regular runner

Great goals everyone! Good luck in your endeavors!

Personally, I want to be in the low 180s by New Years (181 by 12/29 if I can!). Also, I just started doing Bikram yoga and I love it. I want to continue doing it three times a week (or at least 2!) into the New Year and beyond. I want to stay positive and motivated and feel good about feeling better and better about my health and my body.

I would love to hit my goal of 275 by then, but I'll be thrilled with another 12 lbs.

1. I will work out regularly, despite my angry ankle
2. I will stay away from ramen... good for the wallet, bad for the waist!
3. Learn how to bellydance
4. Meditate every day for clarity and sanity
5. NOT let my produce go bad when I buy it... grrrr....

My 2008 goal is to be in the 180's! I finally found Onederland... after 7 years. Jan 2nd is my 38th birthday and I would like to be oh, I dunno...185? I also have a Military Formal to attend Jan 19th...I cannot wear the dress I wore last yr since losing the weight...which means I need to get a new formal dress. *UGH* I hate shopping especially for formal wear!
You gals know of any shoppes?

Hey Happy new year everyone, I was just wondering who acheived their goals for the end of 2007 and which ones did you reach?

Trying to adjust to an evening job meant that I got lazy with food and exercise and didn't reach any of my goals fully. Now that I'm into a routine and I'm fully over my horrid viral infection, I'm running and eating healthfully again. One great thing work has done for me is drinking about 2litres of water everyday whereas I used to barely scrape in 500ml. Good Luck for 2008 everyone
