Question Weight loss at 50 question

Hello everyone! I lost 30 pounds on weight watchers back in the 90’s on their momentum plan and knew it like the back of my hand.
Well, someone in my office was going on and on about how great Atkins is and I lost a lot of weight on it and so, I decided to give it a try. Famous last words…………..
I’ve been yo-yo ing on this low carb plan since I tried it but when I look on line I’m told that “once you
Reach 50 it gets harder to lose weight and that low carb is the best way to do it?
Okay, I just want to know if there is any truth to that because I’m ready to pull out my old weight watchers books or just rejoin with the new plan but if it won’t work because of my age then I don’t want to waste my time and money.

Hi and welcome to our forum. I use exercise, small 1/2 hr to 1 hr walks after dinner. Then just watch snacking and eat thin gs like pretzels and drink tons of water, cook veggies and protein. See a dietitian and join some support groups if necessary. Good luck. For me exercise is a God Send, w/o I would be really unhealthy.
