Hi ladies, sorry I haven't been around. It has been an unbelievably busy week with meetings or activities every single night. I don't think I got more than 5 hours of sleep at any one point until last night. We've had to eat out constantly and I've regained four pounds. Very unhappy with myself, but I'm not sure what else I could have done other than not eat at all. I already take my lunch every day, and packing both lunch and dinner is difficult when everyone else is eating out. Anyway, enough complaining.

This upcoming week should be back to normal. I'll be back on track!

Renee and Dee, congrats on your weight losses!

Good morning from a very chilly (34 degrees) Pennsylvania! Frost is almost on the pumpkin Nothing too exciting here, will probably do some more Fall housecleaning. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Darkblue don't be too hard on yourself...it's really hard to eat healthy when you eat out...to many temptations

B - oatmeal with blueberries
S - banana
L - roast beef sandwich
S - pear
D - leftover stirfry with rice

Hello Everyone-I am back after an extended absence. I have been busy with work plus a string of minor illnesses that have gotten in the way of my weight loss goals. However, I am turning the corner on the latest virus I picked up and it has left me a few pounds lighter for a change so I am planning to jump on that bandwagon and lose some more. In addition, I have a wedding to attend in December and it is imperative that I lose ten pounds before that date. IMPERATIVE! So far, so good today. I made homemade soup that will last me for three days of lunches at work this week and DH made me chicken and vegetable kabobs on the grill today to last me through at least two dinners this while he is out of town. I plan to make a hamburger and rice casserole tonight that should take care of the other dinners this week. I doubt I will be able to get to my Y classes this week since my cough is still pretty bad, but maybe it will go away sooner than I think.

Good luck all staying on your plans.

Weigh-in this morning 271. Only one to go and I earn my dancing broccoli back!

34F sounds way cold for this early in the year, Renee! We are still forecast to be in the 80s and 90s this week. I am more than ready for fall.

*waves hello to Terapet*

Dee - no I don't plant pumpkins...I don't really think there is a shortage, at least not around here. Plus the canned pumpkin in the stores is actually squash. Ii need to get some acorn squash. Love it with a little butter and brown sugar!

I am averaging around 1800 calories a day. This is actually not too bad for me if only I was excercising. I am a ways from that though. I spent the entire day coughing. Ugh. Well, hopefully when this week is done I can get back to business. In the meanwhile, I need to try to hold those calories to this average.

Renee-what do you mean the canned pumpkin is squash? just curious.

Blue-Keep it going Girl-dancing broccoli right there for the takin!

Dee-Hope you are right as rain soon and back to normal activities.

Terapet canned "pumpkin" puree is actually made from one or more types of winter squash, like butternut, Hubbard, Boston Marrow, and Golden Delicious. These squash varieties can be less stringy and richer in sweetness and color than pumpkin.
