Mary, I found the dog food online but most places want $6.99 shipping for a $15 bag of dog food. When we first got him I checked the pet store in town and didn't see it, but didn't ask. We went there yesterday and asked. They said they have more dog food on the other side of the store because they ran out of room. Such poor store management! They had it, but were out of a lot of the flavors and only had 1 bag of the one we wanted. It almost looked like they are going to stop carrying it. If so, I found another place that has it. It's 20 miles from us, but we go by there every couple weeks so it wouldn't be out of our way. Tomorrow, Rusty has a vet appointment so I will see if the vet carries it. They are not listed online as one of the places that have it. He still isn't eating as much as usual. Maybe because DH keeps feeding him deli turkey.
I also think that so many other people have worse problems than I do and I should be thankful it's not worse.
Love2garden, my step son is very strict with his dog because he wants him kept lean for hunting. He does not allow anyone to give him any human food. The only exception was when John was a baby, after they took him out of the highchair Jag would eat all the food that had dropped into the seat. LOL Anytime anything hits the floor the dog scarfs it up before anyone can stop him.
Gayle, I always have to give jars to DH to open for me. Have never found anything that helps. If something happens to him I will have to quit buying jars. Let me know how your gizmo works.
