Welcome, Terry! Good to greet a new poster. We all have the same goals, to get thinner and healthier.

Cajun, we go to a seafood buffet at the casino on Friday's and I eat good, but I pass on the carbs choices and eat lots of fish and seafood. It's healthy, and tasty!

Gayle
, your afghans are beautiful. Seeing them makes me want to get back to crocheting again. Maybe I will now that the weather is getting cooler. I have one that's almost done that I started a couple years ago, and I have a pattern picked out for the next one I want to make. I make them and give them away.

Karen31, the little doggie is so cute!

Donna, it's getting cooler here, too. It was 63 degrees in my house when I got up this morning. We won't be turning on the furnace until it gets really cold. I like this time of year when we don't have to use either the air conditioner or the furnace. Saves some money. I'm actually looking forward to snow, but then I'm not the one who has to clear the driveway.

For someone who doesn't like birthdays you sure are having a lot of celebrations! LOL

Default Happy Monday!

Morning Ladies! I am "off" today, which means errands, laundry and dishes. I did not do well with my eating this weekend, too much junk food. Did not go walk this morning, but will do so tomorrow unless the weather says otherwise. Hope you all have a blessed day.

Howdy...the fickle golden girl has returned with a new inspiration for dropping the 9 pounds I've gradually gained. I had to dig out my larger jeans because my small ones don't fit anymore.
I have lots of recipes for cabbage soup but too lazy to look for them. I just google it and found a site called divascancook http://divascancook.com/wonder-soup-...-cabbage-soup/
She has a plan to lose 10 pounds in 7 days on her rendition of the cabbage soup diet. She has a colorful printable sheet with everything you need to eat for all 7 days. Very simple! Also a recipe for her soup which you can eat as much as you like all 7 days.
Today I ran to the store and picked up everything I needed and I'm off to a good start. I will post my weight loss for the next 7 days and see if this is another fad diet that doesn't work or if it's a miracle fast lose plan.
Welcome Terry!

Bobbi you know what else works? The posse and the rolling pin. There's also a drone flying around. Watch out. Ask k3 she can tell you all about it.

Cajun, ooooooooohhhhhhhh stop scaring me, I'm afraid of the posse, rolling pins and the drone. I'm behaving plus it's only a 7 day plan. The diva says not to repeat the 7 days but go on a regular healthy plan after the 7 days. The 1st day was easy, all fruits and as much cabbage soup as I wanted.
Day 1
133.2 pounds
Day 2
130.8 pounds

Wow Bobbi!!! You are one fast loser. Awesome! I'm a slow poke. My jeans were getting loose. I would wash on cold water and hang them. So the other day I decided to wash in hot water and dry them. Now my head is playing tricks on me because they fit again. I'm doing my jogging and floor exercise and all of a sudden pants fit. Working on my nerves too. I'll just keep pecking along. These will get loose eventually.
I'm still doing the camp laundry. I think I have 1 load left.
This time last year dh and I were in the smokey mountains enjoying the fall foliage and cool mountain air. My sister and bil are ther this week. I want to go back so bad. Love those smokey mountains.

Babies needing me gotta go. Hi all.
Hugs

Karen...I set it in my favorites too, I think it's a great jump start for kicking off a new diet or to use to get off a plateau.
How are you doing? You seem to be very brave since Tim passed away. Getting on with your life is so important and you're doing a fantastic job of it.
Hey Cajun...we were posting at the same time. It's all water that I lost, not fat. The Diva site said that too, mostly all water that we lose. That's hard to understand when I drank all 8 glasses of water yesterday. Ask me if I was tinkling all day

Had my doctor's appt today. My A1C has dropped down to 6.8 which pleased us both, so he will not increase the dose of my newest med. He did say that I would gain weight with this medication. He is not really happy I'm on it I know...he would rather I take Byetta which is an injectible and tends to make people lose weight but I'm holding out on that for now. He also said he would still like me to lose some weight and if I do he'll have to take me off this med (the one I just started taking) because I will have too much trouble with hypoglycemia. I told him I'm tired of dieting...will be somewhat careful but I do not know whether I can ever lose weight now. I just hope to not gain. As for as the hyperglycemia, right now on this dosage as long as I eat often, I'm ok. It was overall a pretty pleasant visit and we seemed to understand each other.

Did I tell you I found a trundle bed I like (for gc)? We are to pick it up today. I like it better than any I've seen in the stores and because I only need one mattress, they gave me a discount of $75! It is blue and will look great in my office. So yesterday I started decluttering my office in preparation for bringing in the new bed. I have filled 5 boxes of cookbooks. I put them in the front hall and will wait a bit to give them away as when I'm done decluttering it is possible I can keep some of them. They are very nice books. I put a small bookcase that was holding them in our bedroom where I sit to read my Bible and pray, and it is now holding a few cookbooks (hopefully I can eventually move these back to the office) and books and sermon notes etc I use in my devotionals.

Today I will clear off everything on the twin bed and stored items that are in my office so we can more easily remove the current bed. What I'm going to do with all the stored items (everything tends to land up in my office!) I don't know but I'll figure it out. After that the next and probably most important area for decluttering is the office closet where I have a huge number of books. When decluttering the garage I brought in a large number of children's books that the grandchildren may want some day and put them on wall shelves in my office. So many books...

tabracadabra - I don't believe I have welcomed you. Welcome! Glad you have joined us!

Need to get to work...last couple days little housework has been done other than decluttering.

Finally found the 3FC tickers so set it up. I set my goal as 140 this time as I don't know that I should go lower at my age plus as I told my doctor at this point I don't have any great hope of reaching it anyway. I'll be happy to maintain but you never know so I do want a goal.

Strange Day down here....Huge storms blowing thru and whenever we get rain we loss power. Either the stupid mouse falls off his treadmill or palm fonds lay on our lines. Dark is dark.

I have continued my purging and dropped all the bags off at the Sheriff's Ranch. Burnt up my shredder and ended up in the dark ripping the last bit by hand. Garbage day tomorrow, you will recognize my house by the wall of trash. I even deleted stuff from pc favorites. Tossing out is addictive.

Bobbi...loved the cabbage soup diet. But wasn't day 5 something weird?

Cajun...Hmmm you are learn well the motivation of intimidation! Fun ain't it

Lynn....Are you okay?

Donna....Is it true Just One more Episode this year? aaaaaah

Mary....The bed sounds perfect. Need picture please

Gayle...Did you find the site for puzzles?

Rosey....Still Breaking Bad?

Hi everyone. another quiet day. watching Breaking Bad,reading and finally got around to cooking for myself instead of snacking. Made stuffed bell peppers with turkey burger.. tasted yummy. Its been raining like crazy here even the dogs don't want out. K3 I need to declutter and clean out the freezer befor mr C gets home..I donate the older freezer stuff to a pet sanctuary and they cook it up for the dogs and cats so it doesn't get wasted. Mr. C wont let me toss anything so I have to be sneaky about it. Hope your day has been a good one. rosey

Good morning ladies. Today is weigh in day and I lost 3 more lbs. So that make 18 lbs in 13 weeks!!!!!! I'm so excited. It didn't come easy though. I've been fighting for this weight loss. I want it so bad. I will do it to. My dh supports me so much then I have you ladies that are so special to me.

Rosey got moose meat!!!! Yay. Good lean meat with lots of protein. Will they stay longer for Steve to get one?

K3 did you toss out dh too? He better stand clear of those garbage bags. You are the champ at intimidation. Yea I'm learning. Have no choice do I.

Mary congrats on the lower numbers!!!! Dieting is hard enough on its own without medicine hampering your struggles. What are your concerns about the one that would help you lose weight? The injection I think vs the one you are taking now.

Bobbi a loss is a loss in my book. It's a good jump start.

Tam how is your week going?

K31 I think those puppies have been good for you.

Lynn how are you doing? Hope your recovery is going along good.

Hi carol sue, Donna.

Hugs

I've had HBP for several years and when I'd lost 10pounds dropped linsinopril and was only taking losartan which is a combo pill. As I have lost more I had several times of BP being under 100 and under 60 so I started splitting the losartan in half about two and a half weeks ago...then it started going back up to 150/70 for several days so now for the past two days I took a full dose again. Whew! I was so dizzy this am after hubby left I thought I'd pass out...checked and it was 89/58! I guess I need to call MD and see if we can find a middle ground......ugh, but was a new low today!
