Default Lyrica and me

Last year, at this point in time I was about 170 lbs. I had painful joints, I could not walk for extended periods of time. I had trouble sleeping due to chronic snoreing and I was diagnosed with fibramyalgia. My doctor put me on Lyrica.
I had terrifying detailed nightmares and I was stoned during the day. I took myself off of this medication and yet I craved it like crazy.
Flash forward 365 days later....I have not had a fibromyalgia flare up in months. I do not snore anymore. My knees are what they are but not constantly painful. I can and do walk 3 miles at a time. I do not hate my body anymore.

Similar story for me Lucinda, except that I never tried any of the drugs (my MD & Rheumi are also into alternative therapies - my same mindset). I found that when I went Gluten Free it made the most difference to me. I take other natural supplements that help with more regular sleep patterns & assisting the energy pathways in the mitochondria. Huge difference! Glad you are feeling better and off the Lyrica - I've heard so many bad experiences with it, although I do know it helps some people.

Yes Liana, I used to be a naysayer when it came to conversing with folks who testified how going gluten free saved their health. I am no longer a skeptic. Ridding my life of sugar, simple carbs and gluten has set me free!

It's nice to see some success stories. Congratulations!
