Afternoon all....Going in for therapy every other day for the next 2 weeks. Have a new mattress and know it is extra firm, but put a sheet of plywood between springs and mattress. Like sleeping on the floor. How can 1/2" make it feel like am now 2' higher. I sit on the side of the bed and my toes don't touch the floor. Feels like I need a ladder to get into bed. Even Dash's jump ups are off balance....darn get old and sat in our ways don't we! Ice is my friend Ice is my friend....I hate ice.
All those nasty hurricanes are turning North. Earl is gonna hit anywhere from NC Outbanks to ME.....watch out Zoe! And Lynn.....me I just rechecked my emergency stock and added water jugs cause they don't know what the 5th one is gonna do. And was feel aokay until realized the darn jug was leaking all over counter.
Rosey...just started the "Into the Wilderness" by Sara Donati....and on the first page is note from Diana Gabaldon praising the book. It's over 800 pages so you all know where I'll be.
Lynn....more info on your "marathron training"?????? Sounds like they are getting you motivated and moving.
Bobbie....do you count the jars you have stored or is it all in the freezer? I used to love looking at my canned jars. So much so when we moved I found jars that were 20 yrs old....But they looked so perfect on the shelves. Whole canned tomato cold with splash of french dressing in Jan is like opening a summer day's door...yum
Jess....Love your part of the world and spent every Fall for almost 20 yrs bow hunting in the White River between Glenwood Springs and Aspen. Went back last year and was so shocked at the changes in everything from Rt 70 to Glenwood Springs itself....With the hunt for gas/oil. We were in Big Thompson Canyon the night before the flood in the early 70's. Sent postcards back home and headed for Montana. Everyone at work thought I had drown in the flood....since I worked in physic at that time won't go into details of my return but it was hysterical. The quakies of gold are beyond beautiful for sure.
