I am about to take off for the weekend, to Tiburon, a small community just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. A girlfriend weekend, so I'm abandoning the boys (but someone will be checking in on them). I need a change of scenery, and some grownup company. Of course, we'll do martinis tonight, so I'm not sure how grownup that'll be! I will go to the gym at the hotel and we'll go for walks along SF Bay. I love looking at all the sail boats and houseboats in the harbor.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend as well...

Hi y'all
I just read your posts for the month and realized that I haven't checked in.
my bad. I got through a 3 week plateau and am on the down hill side of my weight loss.
Georgia - while you are in Tiburon, face north and wave to my Grand daughter in Novato!
Zoe - I wonder if the nasty spring weather might be contributing to your appetite. I know that I crave comfort foods when I am cranky.
Bobbi - you mentioning ebay inspired me to list some items. i sell completed cross stitch, but have not listed anything in over a year. Don't know why.
Lynn - I hope you are reading this after you get back from your trip, and you had a great time w/o many discombobulations.

Hey to everyone else reading this.

Good Morning everyone,

Guilty of not checking in for awhile. Where does the time go sometimes? The weather here has been confusing. Hot Thursday, then in the 30's the rest of the week. DGS went on his 5th grade camping trip (DS went to chaperone) and they have had snow flurries. I'm sure they had fun anyway, but why couldn't the weather cooperate, just this once?

Not eating great either. Not so much over eating, but not eating as healthy as I like. SIL had surgery Thursday and we were in the hospital from 11-8. Exhausting, and their cafateria is as bad as ours. Friday I had to work and it was so busy I ate on the run, brunch at 2, and nothing else untill I got home from work at 8. Saturday I worked a 1/2 day at Curves. Got home at 1:30 and had a scrambled egg sandwitch. Maybe the week will start off better. I can't think of a single vegetable i've eaten this week! Oh well,,,onward..

Lynn, Hope you got there safe and sound and are having a wonderful time right now. And I second Donna's request, lots of pictures.

Gotta go, time for Church, but next week will be better.

Freda

Good Morning, All...........
HAPPY ALMOST BIRTHDAY TO YOU,
HAPPY ALMOST BIRTHDAY TO YOU,
HAPPY ALMOST BIRTHDAY, MISS PT/ZOE.......
HAPPY ALMOST BIRTHDAY TO YOU....

I hope it's going to be a good one and that your family has given you a good pre-celebration weekend. Of COURSE, you're getting the day off tomorrow, right???

I'm wondering about Lynn! I hope she's sitting this out in Europe and not in some smarmy waiting room at some airport!

No news... cool here, but things are popping out of the ground... and I've had to mow the lawn already! TOO SOON FOR THAT!!!

Hope you all have a good, safe, weekend!

G'morning all -
Thanks for the pre-birthday wishes, PT ...tomorrow's festivities are dependent on the weather, which has been PP* around here lately. Drizzly, cold and damp - not ideal for outdoor activities, which is what we all prefer. The family was thinking a birthday brunch at the Oliver Wight Tavern at Old Sturbridge Village, followed by a pleasant trek around the village with children & grandchildren cavorting about just being "family" and enjoying each other's company for the day. Cake and candles in the evening. But, if it stays drizzly and icky, then it'll probably just end up being dinner together and indoor visiting. DH & I went to DD's last night at @ 10:00; the twinnies have both had runny noses and sort of semi-cold symptoms all week - one twin had a bad day on Friday and then seemed to have crossed some kind of threshold and was much better yesterday. The other twinnie got his symptoms a day after his brother did, and he had his rotten day (and night) yesterday. My dd and sil were exhausted, having been up most of the night the night BEFORE with the other twinnie....oh, Lordie. So, I was worried about her because with MS, you really need to get your proper rest, and that's hard enough with twins even when they're well. So we went over to give them a little respite - finally got the sicker of the two sleeping peacefully by 2:00 AM and trundled on home. Slept until 10:00 this morning, which was great, but sleeping that late tends to cause me to miss the better part of the day, which isn't so great.
I've been trying to get my winter clothes switched out of circulation and my spring/summer clothes back INTO circulation, and all I can say is that IN TWO MORE YEARS I WILL RETIRE, GET RID OF HALF MY CLOTHES AND MAKE MY LIFE WAY SIMPLER....Oh, was I shouting? Hmmmmm. Just expressing great depths of emotion... Suffice it to say that my entire house is in a tornado-like state, with clothes waiting to be packed up, clothes set aside to give to Good Will or Sallie's, clothes in piles for the cleaner, and clothes lined up in the process of being washed & dried in order to pack them away for another season. SO overwhelming. Unpleasant, too, because of my recent dietary excesses which have made me feel like a bloated cow - NOT a good condition in which to evaluate clothing potentials.
Now, I keep hearing about people selling stuff on EBay; I may have to give it a try, myself. Surely I ought to be able to follow the instructions? (Gawd, I am SO bad at following instructions!).
Isabella, your weather sounds like ours. I commiserate.
Bobbi, it really sounds like you have this EBay business down pat. I am envious (even when you suffer the occasional computer glitch). I'm sure you'll have that sorted out in no time.
Hi Rosey, have a good weekend yourself! We are all so proud of you, girl...
Coralee, my appetite needs no excuses...it is a behemoth and only slumbers peacefully for awhile. Then, Look out! On a more positive note, I think it's beginning to burn itself out finally, and I'll be back to consistently healthy eating by Tuesday.
Hope you're enjoying your "getaway weekend with the girls" Georgia. Sounds like a sensible plan to me...
Freda! I've missed you! So nice to hear what you've been up to! Come back more often, okay?
Oboy, Lynn....hope you got where you were going ahead of the ash. What a mess! I hope you're out enjoying the countryside and not hung up at some airport somewhere!
Okay, 'nuff said from this old chickie...have a good day, y'all...

Hello everyone, Well, it looks like everything is a go for the house! YAY!! We are leaving here on Friday to go out to Colorado. These are pictures of the new/used 5th wheel we bought to travel out there. The last picture is the 8 X 10 garage that will be great for bringing the things that we left out there. Getting anxious to get it all taken care of now! Then we can really start to relax and enjoy life a little more. We still want to take a trip to PA. to visit Tim's Dad but will probably do that this Fall. I plan on enjoying the summer here in the pool! Can you tell I am anxious to be able to do that?

We met my two brothers, and my Aunt for lunch today. Today would have been my Moms 85th birthday so we decided it was a good time to enjoy each other. Of course we ended up at the China Taste restaurant which is really good! BUT a buffet! So it was enjoyable -- now need to get back on track!

Zoe, you have a Wonderful day tomorrow! Happy Birthday!!

I hope everyone has a good Sunday afternoon and evening.

Oh My Goodness yes! These two wouldn't know what to do if we left them with someone!! They are just too spoiled....In fact, we have a toy box to bring with us! They each have their own carseat in the truck and I have a stroller for them too. Now that I think of it ----it may be me that is spoiled!!!

No time to chat this morning, I see Lynn arrived safely but having a hard time emailing from there. I'll catch up on everyone's chat maybe this afternoon. It's beautiful out and need to get some trimming done on my raspberries and grapes plus hang out laundry.
Happy Birthday Zoe...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOVELY MISS ZOE!!

Good Morning, All!

Bobbi, I'm so relieved that you heard from Lynn! Gawd, that must have been a journey from which she can spin many yarns! I'm eager to hear her tales! Thanks for letting us know!

Nothing to report... Springtime is HERE. Karen, the weather is perfect, so you should have a good trip! And I'm glad you're taking those "pathetic and pitiful" (and so beloved) little fuzzy wonders (geez! We should have it half as good!)... Have fun!

Everyone, be safe!

Just a quick run through as I've been busy since yesterday. Raining all day and no walk. I did get on the bike for 20 minutes but that didn't get me too far. I'll try and get on again tomorrow but this week is going to be super busy for me.

Happy Birthday, Zoe. Hope you had a great day.

Zoe,

I have been absent but reading your posts. I hope to commit to checking in daily. It was 80 degrees yesterday, and I'm not ready to bare my legs!
