Here's the picture of the baby shower cake I made. The baby was already 2 months old by the time we had the shower. She was a preemie so we had to wait for awhile. And I made bread this morning. Have a bite.

A quick good morning.
I'm lost without checking to see who's doing what................can't talk now. On my way into town with a big list of 'things to do'. Isabella.....Yummo, I can smell that heavenly bread from Minnesota. Nice job on the cake too, I used to decorate cakes so know what a labor of love that is. Do you put all the bread ingredients into fitday or something. Then you'd have to slice it the same on all loaves to keep track of calories?
Gotta go, catch ya later or tomorrow.
P.S. Rosey......... We're all agog with your 20 lb. loss! We knew you could do it, keep on keeping on girlfriend.

Good Morning, All....
Mucho sounds of silence.... are you all okay? Have you all MOVED????????
Wet here today. There were little white thingies, but I think we're back to rain. Need the moisture, so no biggie!
Hope you're all okay! Okay here.

Hello everyone, Well, we got the home all taken care of in Colorado and are on our way home. We left our home (used to be) about 3:30 yesterday afternoon. We only drove as far as Lamar, Colorado and stopped for the night. Then this morning we left and drove to Pratt, Kansas. The wind was so bad again that we just decided to stop over and hopefully it will be better tomorrow.
Here is a picture that Tim took of Ginger, Sissy and me this morning. I think "us girls" were pretty tired! Anyway, it will sure be good to get back home.

Good Morning Girls!
We're in for more rain, thunderstorms, hail and possibly a tornado today. Would I trade all that for 25 below zero? Nope!
I made some kolacky's yesterday and used canned almond paste instead of poppy or jam, yum-0. I was going to freeze them for our rummage sale at my brother's house but DH has been eating them.
Today I have 4 packages of hunting stuff to mail out from ebay, one listing I had was a bunch of odds and ends of mounts, springs, screws for rifles, it sold for $37.87. Who'd guess guys were fighting over that? I told DH to keep digging!
Glad you have all the house business behind you Karen, now you know what you have to consentrate on. What? Oh Yeah, the woman cave.
Hi Rosey, Jess, Isabella, Glynne, Zoe. Lynn, stop having so much fun, I'm getting jealous!
Have a fun friday everyone.

Here I am! Sorry about not checking in over the past few days - I was out of town with work Wednesday & yesterday getting loose ends tied up before I take my 11 days off. (Yay!) Been getting home late-ish and ironing clothes and hanging them in the new closet - want to have them all hung and ready to wear when I get back from vacay. Between today and tomorrow, everything - including a massive cleaning - needs to get done in my house, then Sunday for packing and a final run-through, and dinner with my daughters, sons-in-law and grandbabies before DH and I hit the road. Eating has been going well this week - after all the cooking I did last weekend, I haven't had to do much after work except zap something in the microwave, and it's all been healthy, calorie-controlled stuff, so I'm feeling pretty virtuous.
PT, I was up in the Berkshires - borderline of the MA and NY border - on Wednesday, and it was really SNOWING! It didn't last long and didn't stick to the roads, but it was windy and rainy and sleety all day. Ack. I couldn't BELIEVE the snow. I heard they actually got a couple of FEET of the stuff up in Vermont. That, at the end of April, I definitely would NOT take kindly to, let me tell you!
Isabella, the sight of that bread had me SMELLING it, fresh from the oven...oh, Lordie. I don't think there's anything, really, that I enjoy quite so much as bread warm from the oven. Wish it didn't have the effect that it does on my hips.
Rosey, I need to second Bobbi's comments about how well you're doing and how proud we all are of you! Just keep on keeping on...that's the only way any one of us makes any progress, just hanging in there and sticking with it - and I KNOW you will!
Glad everything is finally done with on the old house, Karen...and those doggie-girls sure look comfy next to their mama, don't they?
Well, I'm needing to get a lot of stuff finished up here (at work) today, and then it'll be a busy weekend, but I'll be checking in before we leave. I don't have a laptop, and my sister doesn't have a computer at all (although she's talking about buying one and having my son set it up for her while we're down there) so I may be missing for most of my vacay - but I sure will miss my GGs!!! I'm going to have to try to keep myself on the straight and narrow without checking in with all of you, and believe me, it won't be easy. I don't expect to LOSE a whole lot while I'm gone, but I don't plan to come home any heavier than I left, either.
Have a good day, all -

Z

Good Morning, All!
PT, Karen, Bobbi, Rosey... I'm glad to see that you haven't changed sites and forgotten to tell me!
Chilly here but sunny... I keep watching those thick weather bands heading into your areas and hope that you all don't get hit too hard. I couldn't live in KS, for instance; waiting for tornadoes would keep me in a constant state of terror! The wind here is bad enough... it feels like WY, way too often!
Well, that was boring! No news here, obviously. All is well... Everyone, enjoy the weekend. Be safe!

Good Morning Girls,
Sorry I havent't been on in such a long time. So many things happening. I got a call tuesday morning and my best friend/next door neighbor passed away after a long fight with Ca. I know she is in a better place, and I am trying not to mour her passing. The viewing is today. I'm making food to take over to the family. Baked a ham, cheesy potatoes, baked beans and deviled eggs and biscuits.
I had to work Wednesday. Not a bad day, but it rained all day. Which was fine with me. At the time it seems approperate.
I got the weirdest call Thursday. I answered the phone and a lady I worked with 20 years ago asked if this was my residence. I said yes, of course. She asked if she was speaking to my mother and I told her no, it was me. She let out a shriek!! Someone in the group had read on facebook that I had died and she was calling to get the address to send the family a condolence card. I wasn't sure if I should be shocked or pleased that so many people that I hadn't seen in so long still remember me. Oh, I guess MANY people were called and informed!
Can't answer personals right now, but thinking of you. Roseie, such great news. I guess you are showing that doc, huh? And getting ready for the big day.
Freda

I'm closing out April's thread, can you believe May will be here tomorrow?
Zoe..........Happy Trails to you on your vacation if we don't get a chance to wish you well before you take off Sunday? I think you should eat what your want while on vacation, just don't eat a LOT OF IT! O.K,.
Karen...glad you made it home safe! My English Setter 'Charlie' likes to jump in bed with me but he weighs 65 pounds and has to sleep right next to me so he's not allowed anymore. Ginger is in her comfort zone for sure! Good thing they don't weigh much.
See ya Isabella, Jess, Lynn, Freda, Rosey, and all the rest of you gals May 1st, you can just mail me my May Day Baskets.
