11/26/09 Starting way late but am going to start as it will help to motivate me I think. During my trip, while I was sick and not eating a lot, what I did eat was often not the right things. Thank God I had already started on medication but I still feel I need to get back on track with eating properly for consistently stable blood sugars. So I want to make and keep the habit of eating the right number of carb servings to do this. I did't count carbs today, unfortunately (gotten out of the habit) but I do know my weight was 161 this am. 1 pt. ETA: forgot to say that I can have up to 12 carb servings/day and that is without meds. Now I am on meds and I don't know if that changes things but I am just keeping to that as a daily goal for now as it should help with weightloss too.
11/27/09 160 lbs, 11 carb servings. 2 pts
11/28/09 159.5 lbs, 8 carb servings. 2 pts
11/29/09 158.5 lbs, bs high but think it might be the cough drops I use in the night, 11 carb servings but high on calories today. 2 pts.
11/30/09 158.5 lbs, bs only slightly high, calories ok, 11 carb servings, 2 pts.
12/1/09 159 lbs, 12 carb servings 2 pts
12/2/09 159 lbs, whoops, over on carbs (and calories!) 1 pt.

Well, I realize it's the holiday season but it is still frustrating to know that I gained 6 lbs in Dec!!
The good news it is that I dipped lower this month than I have been in a long time, so hopefullyi I can see that number again soon!

01/30 158, very poor (and limited!) internet service, but wanted you to know I am doing pretty well. Just started back walking (30 min) but have been carefully watching my calories and carbs and doing well with both. I'm not in this so much for the challenge prize as for the accountibility anyway.
1/31 159 ate out yesterday and got too many calories but carbs were ok and I did walk a lot. Today have not walked except with shopping. I am happy though cause I lost 6.5 lbs in January!! Yea!!

12/11/09 - 0 steps - but right on program! It is getting SO HARD this week, just 20 grams of Carbs - MAX a day! I starting to feel like a :rabbit2: Monday will be ALL different and can start my exercising! Will get more of a variety of food too!
12/12/09 - 0 steps - MUCH stronger today - Abundance of energy AND my thinking is CLEAR!
12/13/09 - 0 steps - does anyone know how many calories we use on the keyboard? Now I could ROCK that in numbers!
12/14/09 - 0 steps - BUT!!!! Picked up a pair of walking sticks at WalMart today and also weighed in for the FIRST time -
Lost 7 POUNDS!
FULL of energy now!

I just joined this morning! Yippee!!
Congratulations on your 7 lb. loss for the first week of "Crack"!!!! I know the first week was hard, I felt like a rabbit by the end of the week, but it's going to get better from here on out.

I'm on week 5 because I'm not counting the special week for Thanksgiving we did. So really this is my 6th week. Doing great! I've lost 13 pounds!! This is so amazing!!!

I never dreamed I'd lose this menopause fluff that I put on almost two years ago. Never hungry, never want desserts. I did have a legal fudgesicle on my B day and enjoyed that. Usually skip the last snack at night cause I'm too full. DH is so supportive of me. We've gone out to lunch a couple times and he always asks where we can go so I can stay on the program. Been out to breakfast and always bring home the huge delicious muffin and stick it in the freezer for him for later.

Have to see what forums to join, they all look like fun. Think I'll do the 50+ at least. Then I'll see about any others. Have to learn how to maneuver around this site.

Well, we are about 1/2 way through this challenge. How is everyone doing with the new habit?

I am eating more vegetables & drinking vegetable juice every morning. My juicer cap dropped and broke, but I've been drinking V-8 while I wait for the replacement cap.
