Sorry you're struggling and I understand as I've been there SO many times! All I can say is keep trying, never give up! Watch your portion sizes and read labels. At restuarants, measure out a serving of starchy carb, meat and then if possible fill the rest of the plate with veggies. I do the same thing at buffets. If I really want the dessert, I eat less starchy carb. Being both overweight and diabetic, I have to compromise esp when eating out. At home it's easier.
And do keep that in mind..overtime I find it gets easier. You learn what not to eat or to eat less of. Watch for the emotional triggers..boy they can sabatoge your diet, guess how I know!!
Tracking my eating helps me...I use the Calorie King software and it's very helpful. There is also a little program called Weight Commander...I use it too cause I like seeing the graph with my weight going down (or up!). It warns me too when I need to be esp careful.
But mostly DON'T GIVE UP...you can do this!!
