I was notified that my copy was shipped on the 8th from a bookseller in OH (I ordered a used copy from B&N). I should receive it any day now.

Also by Marge Pearcy, Sleeping With Cats: A Memoir. Certain among us ought to be interested in that one.

I have ordered Gone to Soldiers from the library. Can't wait. This is a great idea.

Okay . . . I missed a lot of time on this project (because of my computer's little R & R break) but will see if I can find that book tomorrow . . . and I guess I'm going to have to read the one about cats at some point, too . . .

Don't think I've ever read anything of hers before -- but I can never be really sure since I am absolutely terrible about remembering Author's names and Book titles.

Hi y'all...just started the book and her characters are real and intense, but so many! I found myself turning to table of contents as a way to keep them straight. karen3

Hi gang . . .

Silly old Amazon Canada can't promise any better delivery than the beginning of March -- will try the local library and see if there is any hope. Read the reviews on Amazon.ca and it definitely sounds like a great book.

Still loving this book, the research that had to be done for this book must have been enormous -- Karen3, I am doing the same thing -- I find myself having to skim over the last chapter of a character to remind myself of the details -- Michele

Can I join you? I'm over 50 (by a good bit ) and a librarian. Needless to say I love to read (and I have 2 siamese cats, Gail). One of the other libraries in our system has the book, so I've ordered it and should have it by Monday. Looking forward to reading it.

Hi Pat,

Of course you may join us! Welcome. I'm going to head to my library tomorrow. I ordered a copy from B&N - it's supposed to be on its way, but so is Christmas! Happy reading.
