New here questions/suggestions?
Hi. My name is Susan. I just turned 51 . I was diagnosed with PCOS over ten years ago. I was always thin and never on a diet then suddenly in my twenties it all changed. I gained 30 pounds in a year. I wasn't overeating. In fact as I gained I was watching closer than every but it just kept going up. I went to the doctors , of course they thought I was overeating and i should exercise more. I was actually exercising more than I did in years but nothing happened. So I've just been battling with it for years.
A a few years ago I cut out sugar when I started to get hypoglycemia.
I admit i have a hard time staying off white flour. That's my weakness. But I try not to overdo it. I do plan on really watching it again though as I have slipped these past few months.
So I'm looking for a healthy PCOS diet. Not a fad diet. But something that addresses the issue of PCOS directly. I realize I might not lose weight quickly. That's fine. I don't' lose weight on those types of diets anyway.
Any suggestions?
