Default New and needing direction

Hi everyone,
Im new to the group and new to online forums. Unfortunately, not at all new to dieting, goal setting (and breaking), groups etc... I'm 30 and never thought I would still have weight issues. I would like to live a healthy, complete life, but not sure how to start. I'm a food addict.
Also having trouble navigating the online group to get the most out of it. Any advice would be nice.
Thanks,

Welcome to 3fc!
I feel you on the goal setting and breaking. I actually just started to lose some weight I gained back. I recommend weight watchers, if you're looking for some guidance on food. I tried it in the past, and now, and I've always had success when I (mostly)stuck to the plan. Also if food is hard, changing what you drink or even just increasing your exercise can be a good start. I started off using exercise dvds and then progressed to going to the gym. As for the forums, I found the best way is to just explore to see what you can find that interests you. There are areas for different weight goals, diets, ages, and many more. Good luck on your journey! You will definitely find oodles of support here!

I totally agree with DivineDivina

I weighed 195 in 2012. In one year I went up to 292.4 due to depression. I decided to my health/life back this year. Began WW on 7/19/16 and am down 16.4 lbs. It works! You have to drink at least 64oz of water a day though. Ideally, they say you should drink half your weight in oz, i.e. if you weight 200 you should drink 100 oz a day.

Best wishes on your journey!

Emmy

Default Thanks

Thanks all! How do you get daily emails from the accountability group? I may have missed something because I'm using my mobile. Anyway, I've tried weight watchers a lot and it always works. However I stop and they get paid for like a year until I'm done with the denial phase. I know my issues with food are psychological and I know tons of tricks and ideas but I can't make it stick. Well here's trying ....

I didn't join this time so no money out of pocket. I am doing the original WW points plan and just googled to get all the info I need. I keep a journal of what I am eating so my points are logged.
