Default bike update

I posted a while ago (can't find it now) asking about a good bike for a larger person. I had been riding a cheap Target brand old lady bike. Today I got a Giant Suede and am in LOVE -- this thing works the hamstrings, gluts and quads AND has flat foot technology...plus upright handlebars -- so comfy. I highly recommend it to anyone!

Thanks for all your input. It helped a lot in making this choice.

What is flat foot technology? The bike looks great. I have a hybrid, but changed the handlebars to uprights. Now my neck and back don't get sore. You're going to get SO much pleasure out of your new toy!!!

I believe it refers to being able to touch the ground flat footed while seated on the bike. Anyone else feel free to correct me if that's wrong.

Yes that's right -- and since I have 2 fractures in my foot and arthritis in my big to, this is most helpful to me now. Also good when you ahve lots of stops -- like riding with kids.
