Hello beautiful ladies!! I'm a 20 year old nursing student with about 10 - 15 lbs to lose (I used to have a lot more to lose, but I have attended fat camps through high school).
So, even though I am overwhelmed with classwork I find time to go running each day, but I've only been able to a mile without stopping - mainly because of blisters!
Does anyone else get blisters from running? I went to a running shoe store and have been through 3 different pairs, none which worked and the person at the atore watched me walk and said I have flat feet so they rub up againt the shoe.
Well, I've tried special socks, special shoes, and even tried scotch tape! Today I bought some moleskin and I'm going to go running here in a few and see if that works. If anyone here runs - what are your solutions for blisters?
Sounds like another reason for me to avoid running I get blisters when I buy new walking shoes, but they don't last long. I've used a thick layer of gauze, folded and taped to my heal with first aid tape, and that did the trick for me.
Fortunately for me the first pair of runners I had were perfect for my feet and I have never had a blister from running... The times I have had a blister from just regular shoes I just put a bandaid on the spot for a few days till the shoe is broken in...
I used to run and got blisters on the bottoms of my feet in my arch (high arches). I started wearing ankle braces on both feet when I ran and never had a problem again.
