Your 5 Favorite Things About Losing Weight...
What is everyones favorite things about losing weight?
Here's mine:
5. Being able to fit into clothes that were too tight (or didn't fit at all!) last time I tried them on!
4. Discovering new, stronger muscles! ("Ahhhh! What's this lump on my arm?" "Mum, that's not a lump, its a muscle!" Absolutely Fabulous; episode called "Donkey")
3. Being able to run and play with my kids without getting winded.
2. Appreciating my body and all it can do finally.
1. Knowing I'm improving my health and losing that extra fat on my own with a healthier diet and daily exercise!

Mine are pretty based on vanity:
Being able to buy clothes in a regular store.
Looking better in my new clothes.
Looking better overall...
Also, I love the fact that the "drama" that I used to feel surrounding food is pretty much gone. I seemed to have moved it over to other parts of my life, but even when I go over my points, I don't feel that sense of digust/failure that I used to feel. It's a real accomplishment for me.

Great thread! I love this stuff -- reminds us all why all the work is worth it!
1) Being able to shop in "normal" stores and find much cuter clothes (at lower prices!).
2) Not always having to ask myself, "Am I too fat to do this?" before doing something.
3) Having so much more energy.
4) The sex. Oh, man, the sex.
5) Being a STRONG WOMAN!

1. Shopping
2. Compliments
3. Achieving things I never thought were possible (e.g. running 10k)
4. Energy
5. Feeling so proud of myself.
And maybe more shopping. Which is strange. I used to really hate it before, and couldn't see the attraction. But now, I walk into a shop and want to try absolutely everything on!

After reading everyone else's list, I think I need to add a few:
*Not being so fat! (Thanks, Rtael! That cracks me up.)
*Better sex! (Thanks, Jen512 and teapotdynamo!)
*Seeing the double chin fade (Double Thanks, NJ84!)

Having one chin again.
Fitting comfortably in any chair
Being able to walk up a hill without being winded
No more plantar fascitis
Shopping at any store, and especially being able to fit in clothing at thrift/consignment stores.

WOW! What a huge change! It doesn't even look like the same person in the photos! Amazing!
I sure can't wait until my extra chin is 86'd for good too! My double chin and my huge gut/shelf below my breasts are my two biggest issues that I can't wait to see gone. Sure they've shrunk considerably, but I want them gone!
