I was wondering if South Beach is ok during pregnancy or not. I know it's a healthy way of eating but I have been TTC and want to know about when I finally get pregnant. Should I follow sbd how it's written, add a few more carb items? I know I will have to up the calories but for me that just means eating until I am satisfied since I don't actually count calories, etc..
Dr. A says that a modified Phase II is best for pregnant women, I think. He says that Phase I is too restrictive for pregnant women. The book goes into a better detail but if I find anything more substantial I'll post it.
