Angry Stupid Bike!

Was looking forward to a bike ride for my exercise today. Thought I would take a left, and go up hill, instead of going right, and down hill, like I usually do. Half way up the hill my peddles start feeling funny, I peddle them around as usual but there is no feeling of them 'catching' and the rear wheel doesn't get moved along like it should so I stop moving.

No idea what I did or what I can do to fix my bike, will have to contact a bicycle repair shop and see what they say. Irritated and annoyed because I didn't get all my exercise in for today plus now I have to get my bike fixed. GRRRRRRR!

Most likely do a yoga video later though and I can always jump rope for my cardio...but I really wanted a bike ride! And the weather was perfect!

Had the same problem last week. i was hearing funny noises from my pedals. Took the bike to the shop where i bought it one month ago and they discovered that bearings were falling appart.

Made me kind of angry since i did not "beat" my bike. I usually ride on cycling paths. The shop owner admitted that he installed cheaper pedals, in order to be able to install tougher wheels and rear gears and still be within my budget....Pedals were guaranteed, but i prefer to pay the difference and have some heavy duty ones installed.....

I guess, that when we're overweight, we should have more resistant bikes....

Yuck. That just sucks when you are pumped about a particular exercise. To me it never feels the same no matter what you substitute. Hopefully it's nothing major wrong with it.

Thanks, everyone. Felt silly posting about my bike but it just made me so mad I had to vent. LOL Haven't called anyone yet. Probably wait until I have more time on Monday.
