I am also taking a low GI approach, combined with the WW core/no count plan, and that has really helped me to identify foods which make me even more hungry - bread, cereals, potatoes. So I largely avoid these foods. Actually, I never get hungry taking this approach - which doesn't mean I don't suffer from the old emotional eating cravings......although these are also a lot less frequent now....
