I lost 1# this week. I'm thrilled to be losing, but it's going sooooo slow! I brought my stuff to go to the gym during lunch today. I really need to up my exercise.
It's amazing, I've lost almost 21 pounds since Thanksgiving and I still want more. Doesn't everyone?
Beth C, 21 pounds is fantastic. It's true that it's hard to celebrate when we have a lot to lose, but really -- you should be very proud!
Kykaree, isn't it weird when that happens? It's like your body just finally says, "OK, OK, I got it. I'll let go of the freakin' pounds!!!!" Congratulations!
I'm pleased to report that I lost all 3 pounds of my vacation weight last week (must have been partially water), and I'm down to 190. The even better news is that the scale actually read 189.8 -- my first time seeing 180-anything on the scale in years and years. I'm hoping to make that stick this week!
Also -- this Thursday is my first bellydancing class! I am VERY nervous about it (lingering self-consciousness about my body) but I also think it's gonna be loads of fun and great exercise. It even includes an aerobic section called a "Shimmy Marathon!"
Good luck to everybody! Isn't it so much less gloomy now that SPRING is arriving?

Congrats on the losses! I'm losing so slowly now, too. After weeks at a plateau, I lost one measly pound. I know, I know, better than a gain! I'm in a place where my "fat" clothes are too big, but most of my other clothes are too small. Frustrating!
Sara going up sometimes happens. Just keep working at it and it will come off.
Beth, 21 pounds since T day is great. Keep up the good work. I do know what you mean by wanting more. I'm wondering how I will feel when I get to goal.
Kykaree, that is awesome way to go.
Jennifer, how exciting for you 189.8 that is fantastic. I know when I got under 400 that was a great feeling but it even feels better to hit 380 something. Then I knew I was not that close to 400 anymore. I imagine you feel the same about the 180s. To me it's like your past the point of having some freak gain and jumping back over the 200 mark.
Good work everyone! I lost one pound this week. I so identify with the "this is too slow!" feeling. And it still seems like such a long way to go. But I guess that is one reason this isn't easy. Keep going, everyone!
I'm down, but by just than 2 lbs. (Which puts me down emotionally.) I know the standard "good" loss is 2 lbs per week, but given my size and efforts I had expected more. My blood glucose is down a little, too, though, so I guess I should be content. DH is amazed it could be so high given how little and what I am eating. I worked out 6 times in the last week. And I've been true to my diet. Not one cheat. On the plus side, that 2 lbs. brought me under 200 for the first time in a few years. Is it Onederland when your weight is in the 100's or when you've lost 100?
Silly idea, but I imagine each of those little quarter moons in the avatar as a blob of 3 lbs of fat that I need to lose. So far, I've lost 3. The orange one at my ankles, the purple one at my ribs, and a yellow one at my thighs. ;-)
Sea, that puts you officially in ONEDERLAND, and that's a fantastic thing!!!!! Please don't be discouraged with 2 pounds -- it's really on the high side of a healthy loss. You might need to adjust your expectations a little bit so you don't get so discouraged (Believe me, I know how hard it is to do!). I work out 6 times a week as well and try to remind myself that as long as the scale is moving in the right direction, I'm making progress.
