Default current O magazine

I picked up the current issue of Ophrah's O magazine and thought I'd pass on that there are some good articles on weight loss, motivation, exercise. I especially liked a several page spread on what's better to order for take out (or going to ethnic restaurants), along with the calories some of the dishes have and the fat break downs.

Thanks! Maybe I'll pick it up or check it out at the library!

Sounds like a plan! I probably will have to wait until next month since our library doesn't allow check-out of current issues. Thanks for letting us know about it!

Well, I splurged and bought it several days ago - not sure if it's the same issue or not (don't have it in front of me). They have some good articles in there.

The issue I have is the Boot Camp special.

I thought the mag was pretty good too. I'd never bought it before. Sometimes I get in this mode that I've dieted so much and read so much about dieting that I know most of the stuff that comes out in magazines. Truth is there's always more to learn. Always more good tips to find. Espcially since my challenges change as I keep going.

Yes, that's it. Howie's reading it right now. He wishes they'd do a men's magazine with articles like Oprah's - the men's magazines are really out there, he says.

It was an especially good issue. Here is a quote from the What I know for sure (p. 264) that really struck me.

"You can't keep pretending that your body will function well forever no matter how you treat it. Your body wants to be moved and fed well." "You need to schedule more rest, and stop spronting through your life as though it's some sort of race you have to win. You've already won. You're still here, with another chance to get it right, do better, and better - starting now"
