I have a fun filled day planned today. My bank did an overdraft deposit to our account 3 months ago when the account was nowhere near overdrawn, and my husband and I have been arguing with them for this entire time about getting the interest they charged us refunded. It's not that they disagree that they made the error or anything like that. Instead, they just can't seem to get it right. When they attempted to credit the overdraft line back, they did it for the wrong amount so we continued to have automatic debits taken out of our account. I've called a few times, and my husband has gone to the branch. Today it's my turn again. All of this over a little bit of interest, but I just don't want to have my account messed with for no reason.

I'm also having fun with customer service at overstock.com. I ordered some things from them, and one of the products said that when I ordered it, the entire order's shipping would be free. So I viewed the cart, and the shipping was free. When I confirmed the amount on checkout though, they suddenly added a shipping charge. Again, it's not like a huge amount or anything, but if I agree to pay one amount, it would be nice if that's what I actually got charged. I emailed their customer service and got this total runaround response about how coupon codes and banner ads don't always have all of the terms listed and they don't apply to media purchases. Okay, aside from the fact that their own website and commercials say that all shipping in March is $1.00, and it even shows books and movies on the page explaining the ad (which I read and nowhere that I found does it say media items are excluded), I didn't purchase using a coupon or banner ad in the first place. The free shipping was listed directly on the item. Argh! I hate when I give detailed information and get a pre-packaged response.

Hmmm... I am really cranky today, aren't I? I'm done with my little crazy person rant now.

Hello everyone! Things have been so htic over here. I am moving May 1st. I am in the process of looking for a job too. The kids and I are adjusting alot better to everything. My eating has been horrible! I don't even want to get on the scale. My plans for the weekend are, my nieces birthday party tomorrow and I was also invited to my friend's house for an early easter dinner. Tomorrow is going to be really hetic too. I love keeping busy lately so I don't have time to think about all that has been going on. Today I have a house full of kids due to there being no school because of Superintendent day. Well, they're getting a little rowdy so I'll BBL!! Love to all and Chrissy thanks for your concern!! Have a lovely day.

Hello all, not much going on here. I have plans tonight and Monday, but that's about it. Tonight, I have the apartment all to myself, all night long! I don't know what I am going to do with myself. Quiet time, woohoo! Monday my friend is watching our kids so that my h and I can go see White Noise at the buck fifty movie theater (which is about the only way we can afford to go to the movies. Oh, another thing that I am doing this weekend. I am quiting smoking. So that will be in my signature too, how many days I have gone without cigarettes. Feel free to take a poll on how b****y I am being....this should be fun! LOL

Chrissy, the IRA thing didn't work out, so we are going to have to drop back ten and punt. I have contacted them and told them that I am working on raising the money to take care of everything, but that it is going to take a while. Monday is going to be a job hunting day and signing up with temp agency day. Hopefully that will all work out. I will just have to devote my first few paychecks to taking care of this little problem, then I can work on a couple of other things in preperation for moving to another apartment. Once I get the warrants taken care of, then I am going to talk to my h about going to stay with a friend of his for a bit, I can't take this any more. I really need some time away from him. But that is a long story for another day. Oh well, take care everyone! BBL

Hi All!!
Okay, I'm going to just jump right in and say HELLO!! I'm new to this board...as you can probably tell, but after trying to navigate this whole thing....this sounds like the one for me!! Let me tell you a little about myself.
My name is Lisa and I'm live in Nevada. I've been married for 8 yrs. and have 4 boys. I began this 1,985,876 diet of my life on January 17 of this year and haven't looked back yet. I almost died when over the holidays I stepped on the scale and saw that I had ballooned up to 254 pounds!! How did THAT happen?? So after the new year began, it took me 17 days to psych myself up and START!! I thought about doing WW and Curves, but decided to save the money and try to do it on my own first. So far, good decision. I am just eating healthier and moving my big butt! (Hubby bought me a treadmill for Valentine's day...gotta love him...no diamonds for this girl!!!LOL!!) I used to be a fastfood-a-holic and a primetimetvwatcher-a-holic but I am happy to say that since 1/17 I haven't been to a fast food place nor have I ate in front of the tv!! YEAH!! I try to mix things up...some weeks I'll eat 3 meals...some weeks 6 smaller meals, I have discovered that I am not going to die if I eat my veggies, and water really isn't so bad! I never would have believed that I would be choosing fruit over chocolate, "spraying" butter on my toast, grilling...not frying, and staying away from fat dripping burgers and pizza!! I have just become accoustomed to the foods I eat now, and I don't look back.
Like I said I started out at 254 and after weighing myself today..(that's another bad habit...weighing myself everyday...but I will leave that one for another day!) I have lost 31 pounds!! But as I think back to all of my 1,985,876 diets, losing isn't my problem....maintaining the healthy weight is. But...I will cross that bridge when I come to it!!
So that's pretty much it. I really look forward to being an active part of this group of "moms"!! I hope to give as much encouragement as I can....and GET as much encouragement as I can....and, boy, some day's I need a LOT of encouragement!! Take care!!

I'm sorry the IRA thing didn't work out I hope things work out for you and your hubby. Maybe yall can go out once a week just the 2 of you, that might make things a little easier....You can be witchy all you want, I quit last year
One year, two weeks, 4 hours, 56 minutes and 13 seconds. 7584 cigarettes not smoked, saving $1,459.94. Life saved: 3 weeks, 5 days, 8 hours, 0 minutes.

I put on a TON of weight when I quit, and I'm working it all off now! You CAN do it, the first few days are going to be hard but after you get past day 3, you'll be OK...everytime you get an urge for a cig, get a cold glass of water, that will help you get your water intake for the day Don't deprive yourself of your soda, keep on having 1 a day, taking to many things away at once can make you nuts, believe me.

Well good luck with job hunting, I'll be thinking of you!

Jen! Nice to see you ! You have yourself a wonderful weekend, and hey eat a piece of birthday cake for me! Hope all the kids are minding you.

Welcome Lisa! My name is Tabitha, soon to no longer be a sahm of 2, girl and boy. (Because I have to get a job, not because I won't have the kids...LOL....sorry, my dry sense of humor showing up there!) You have been doing a great job with the weightloss! Go Girl! I've lost 44 pounds so far, ain't it great! 283 was my all time high, and it really did open my eyes. Keep up the great work.

Jen, have fun at the birthday party. Good luck with the job hunting, you and I are both at that! Hang in there, you will get through this. We are here for you.

Well, I am doing a complete scrub down and overhaul on the apartment. Mopping, scrubbing, rearranging, organizing and generally wearing myself out. But since the kids are not here, and won't be until late tonight (change of plans no aloneness all night) I will have the time to actually do it. Not really going to have time to exercise today, so no points on the challenge, though I already feel like I have put in a hefty workout, and I am not even halfway done yet! LOL, bbl. Take care.

Tabitha

Well, it's no wonder I was cranky this morning, TOM started. I think I got everything straightened out now. I'm still craving salt like crazy, but I'm really looking forward to seeing my family this weekend. I haven't been back to Ohio for over a month because of Sage being ill and bad weather. Fortunately, my daughter and husband are feeling better just in time to celebrate my dad's birthday. Have a good weekend, all!

HI all!

Welcome Lisa! I'm Chris...sahm of Tiana (11) Kayla (5) Nicole (2 1/2). I'm usually on quite a bit but my dad is bowling in the National Bowling Tournament in Lousiana so I'm handling all his stuff at his warehouse and his house.

So hope the day is going good for everyone! I'm sick...Kelly's sick (and still went and had his physical done for his job at Sears..brave man!). Kayla, Tiana, and Nicole all have colds and are coughing. Lots of fun this weekend.

So many new faces on here and hardly any of the "senior" members.

Glad to see you post Jeniqua. Hope things are getting a little easier on you. You've had a heck of a time for the last few months. Thinking of you, hon.

Melissa-Hopefully those headaches are going away. Did you ever go to the doctor for them?

Hi Penny! I know...just a fly by for you. Hoping your day is going good and that things slow down for you a bit.

Hi Tabitha! Sorry about the IRA thing too. Good luck with quitting your smoking. I quit before I got pregnant with Kayla and haven't since....that's been almost 7 yrs. I still get the second hand smoke from my sisters though.

okay...my 15 min. of relaxation are done. Back to the trying to catch up on the housework thing...since I was working extra.
