well, reneelynnn... congrats on doing so great!!!!

now, i'm kind of confused about the recipe thing. you're at the stage where you're starting to explore things. and trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. at your stage, what worked for me might not work for you.

having said that: as a rule of thumb, anything that's thinly sliced and moist is worth a shot. that means fish, thinly pounded cutlets of anything: chicken, veal, turkey, beef, pork, lamb. as long as it's lean and isn't all dried out, it's worth a shot.

stew-y things work well, too. chili is a wonderful thing.

don't eat hot melted cheese, though...

i'm sure someone will pop up with a favorite concoction or two...

aaahhhh. some of it - especially mozzarella - cools as it goes down to your tiny tummy. and stiffens up. and oh my goodness - does it ever get ugly!!!!!!

this doesn't happen with american cheese, or gouda [i think]. or some forms of cheddar. but as a rule of thumb, if it gets stringy when it melts, it's risky

Hmmmm, oops. Already had the mozzarella. Didn't have any problems, though. I discovered, by accident, that sugar doesn't cause me to have dumping syndrome, so far. I made a few batches of oatmeal for me and hubby for breakfast. You think I would be able to tell the two apart, since mine was made with artificial sweetener and lots of cinnamon, his with sugar and cinnamon. Ya, i got half way finished with his before he came down, tasted his and went "Ewwww, what did you put in here?" All I could taste was cinnamon. I waited for the impending stomach cramps, nausea, possible vomiting, and the final end result. Never happened. And when I say he had sugar ion his, I mean sugar. This is a man who likes to add a little coffee to his sugar. I still am avoiding sweet things, for obvious reasons. I didn't go through a week of horrendous pain aand all the other little tidbits to undermine my weight loss, ya know?
