Talking Quick Pickles

Quick Pickles Phase I or II

3-4 cucumbers (sliced very thin)
1 small onion (sliced very thin)
1 tsp. Mustard seed
½ tsp. Celery seed
1 ¾ cup Splenda
1 cup white vinegar

Put cucumbers and onions in large glass bowl. Boil vinegar, sugar and spices. Bring to a rolling boil. Pour over cucumber and onions. Let set ½ hour, tossing every few minutes. Then chill. Great as a side dish, excellent piled on a burger.

Would that be regular cucumbers or English cucumbers?

She probably means what you called 'regular' cucumbers (about 6 to 8 inches) because you don't very often see the foot-long English cucumbers in the US, at least not where I come from LOL!

Well then that would apply to pickling cucumbers also. You'd probably have to adjust it no matter what type you used, by judging how much liquid you have as to how many slices of cucumber, etc.
