Default Prescription pill to lose weight??

Has anyone heard of this? My mom said she heard about a new prescription pill you can get from your doctor that is for women who can't or have a hard time losing weight and it helps them lose it????

Hi Trixie!

There is nothing new about prescription diet pills I myself have been taking one for about 8 months now. There was a new pill that came out recently and I believe there is a post in the Buyer Beware forum about it. It is stickied at the top of the forum so it will be easy for you to find. There are several other meds out there right now Meridia (which I take), phentermine (which I've taken but didn't like) and xenical (which I refuse to take for it's laxative effects.) There are several threads in the Buyer Beware forum about these different meds if you would like to look them up I'm sure you'll find them helpful

Trixie, yes it does work for me but there are many factors involved in taking it. I see my doctor once a month for blood pressure and weight checks because I also have had palpatations I also had to have a ekg before they would put me on a medication. It is also so important to NOT order these kinds of meds off the internet and to get them from a pharmacy with a written prescription from your doctor. So, yes it does work for me but as we all know what works for one may not work for another. But if you are interested then talk with your doctor about it and see what they think
