Smile Good Saturday Morning Ladies

Well, well, well. I slept pretty good. Went to bed at 1000, Andrew woke at 300, but went back to sleep easily and so did I until 610. I'll take it any day. But when I sleep better like that, it takes more for me to get going in the mornings. Hoping this coffee sets in soon.

Hope everyone else had a good night. Sounds like all of you are doing well on the challenge. That's great.

Jaymi, I was thinking something about you the other day and I forgot to mention it, but I think I was suppose to forget until you needed it. I see how bad TOM is effecting you so maybe now is when I should say it to help you out and motivate you some. So here goes. When you first came back here in full swing you seemed to be down and unmotivated. I hated to see it but of course it's only up to you to get yourself moving. Once this challenge started, you seemed like a different person. You were in great swing and I thought, wow that's what it took and what you needed. Now I know we all have those days and those times, especially with TOM, but keep in mind why you're here and what you are apart of. I think you are doing an awesome job and I hope to see you go far with this challenge.

Now to the rest of you, I hope you all do well with this challenge, I just simply noticed the biggest attitude change in Jaymi when she started and that pleased me. I wish all of you luck and I hope you all win in the end.

Well, I'm gonna get off. I'm staying home today, I think. Gonna help dh get the house under construction cleaned up some if it's not too cool outside. I'll check in later. Hope all is well.

Hi Crystal - hi everyone! Hi's back to Ricci and Geri!

I think I got my ticker thingie on there right, we'll see. I was down a couple of pounds of water this morning (I'll take it - at least something's changing with my chemistry, and it's in the right direction) so I went ahead and updated my current weight. I couldn't stand to see that girl at my starting weight for long.

I've had this terrible toothache since yesterday - I think I'll be getting a new filling for Christmas.

Crystal - how does Andrew sleep when he isn't sick? I couldn't get DD to sleep through the night by herself until after DS was born, which was difficult. We played musical beds for months.
Mel - you had quite a day!!
Jaymi - DD wants the Dora Dollhouse too - fortunately, grandma took care of that one. And you should go see the grave!! It's at an Episcopal churchyard just off the island. It's a plain flat slab with "Alice" on it. A really interesting story - I'll PM you with it when I have more time.

So, I've done my workout - power yoga today. I'd look so much more impressive if I didn't have my weight restricting my range of motion. Now I feel all loosy-goosy. Have a good day, everyone!

Tracy, Andrew has never ever slept all night. He suffers from asthma and I've read and heard that asthmatic babies don't sleep as well. But he's never slept good. Plus, we are in this two bedroom house and I have all three kids in one room and I think that effects him as well. It's really not uncommon for toddlers to not sleep through the night, it's just hard when I'm pregnant and I'm worried about when the baby comes. But none of my kids have been great sleepers and I've made it this far so I'm not too worried. Besides, we'll be getting into our much, much bigger home not long after the baby comes so I'm hoping to start new routines that will help everyone sleep better.
Gotta go, mom's gonna be here shortly with my grandpa to see my house and van.

Morning ladies...
I'm awake but not alive. Had Nicole in our bed again last night. She is becoming a fixture in our room. Found out why though, I think. She is scared of the dark now, even though she has a night light in her room. I'm not sure why the change but I think it may have something to do with her "loving" sisters.

Crystal-Glad you got some sleep last night. One quick interruption is better than a long one or alot of them. How do you like your van? I have a mini van. It is so nice to have the room for everybody. Except I have that "mommy" fixation. I wish I had something else to drive when I'm by myself so I can imagine a younger, more hip me... Sometimes I'd just like to take a break and drive something and do something not so mommish.

Tracey-Morning girlfriend! How's the day for you so far? Just a quickie question for you...How do you like doing yoga? I have rheumatoid arthritis and they say yoga is supposed to be good for it. I'd like to try it sometime.
God bless the grandparents who buy the toys!!!! I had to round up the right items this year for the kids. No one wanted the dora dollhouse here, but I absolutely HAD to buy a VideoNow player and Bratz dolls....and anything Hilary Duff or Lizzie McGuire. They are sooo opinionated anymore. WTG on the 2 lbs. down... That is awesome. I'd take the 2 lbs right now too, even if it was water weight.

Well all you fine ladies...Geri, Cheri, Ginny, Penny (where are you girl?), Jill, Roxy, Michelle, Jaymi, Melissa, Jeniqua, Kristin, Spryng (missing you) ,Ricci, Cindy, and all you gals (hoping I didn't miss anyone). Forgive me if I did. I have to go eat and take my meds...the infamous "drug" day has arrived. You'd think I'd be used to Saturday's ritual by now...YUCK!!!!!

Hi gals.
Chris, dh hates mini vans but he's okay with this one because it's built like a truck. V8, 360 engine and all that. I do feel a little young to be driving it and I haven't driven it yet without the kids. I have a doc's appt. on Tuesday so that will be the first time. But, I'm NOT a car person especially a sports car, don't like them and never have. If I were not a mama, I'd have a truck. I'm a country girl at heart and that's the best thing, ALWAYS wanted a truck but I'm driving in such luxury so it really doesn't matter. I'm sure as I'm driving it alone, people will know that I've got a big family so who cares, huh? I am enjoying it immensely. I've got to go to sis's tomorrow and my mom and niece will ride with me so we'll be packed and that's an hour trip so I can't wait.
Okay, baking Christmas cookies and making lunch. Hope all is well.

Hey Chris - I'm not qualified to give medical advice - but I think yoga would be great for you. It's really supposed to help keep the joints juicy. I'd recommend going to the forum at videofitness.com, and asking there if anyone has experience with yoga and rh. arthritis. It's a very knowledgeable, friendly group (I'm there, too! ). The tape I'm loving right now is Eoin Finn's Power Yoga for Happiness. Pilates might be good for you, too.

Crystal - I co-slept and nursed at night, so DD didn't sleep through the night until she was two, and even then, she'd wake up yelling "No! No!" once or twice per night. So, I hear ya. Congrats on your bigger house! We've only got two bedrooms right now, too, and it does make things difficult - even with only two kids.

Crystal,
Hear ya on the truck. I lived out of town in the country for 4 years withthe ex-dh. Before I got together with dh, everything I drove was a truck or a blazer. I'm not a sports car, or car person, either. I like to feel higher up in the air. I still feel too young to be a mini-van mama. Love my kids to death, but just don't want to be labeled "old". My dream vehicle would be a nice 75-78 Ford f150 4x4 or a 78 Chevy pickup...(Strange huh?)

Tracey-I'm going to check out that videofitness.com site and see what it's like. I'd like to find out if it works for little "young" arthritic people like me. It sucks to be my age and have that happening already...anything that will help is a definite plus.

Where oh where have the desperate housewives gone? Oh where or where can they be....(singing-but not too well)

Good Morning girls!!

I just now woke up lol, I got to sleep in today cuz hubby was home! yayyyy!! I'll get to have a nice lie in tomorrow as well.

Its snowing here and I'm glad that it looks like we'll have snow for xmas! I'm gonna get my walking done and some leg lifts and stretches done. My menu today
No breakfast, Lunch and Dinner I'm gonna split a roast beef sub between the two, I've been craving one but I'm gonna make it at home so it is healthier. I also will get my 100 oz of water in and I'm gonna add a grapefruit too, citrus fruit is supposed to really help move the weight and since I'm up from where we started on the challenge then maybe it will help. I have no clue what is going on with that and I'm sooo disappointed. Oh well!

Crystal, glad you are liking your van, sounds fun! I want a new dodge durango or a dodge caravan but we won't upgrade until my medical bills are taken care of. ugghhh

Tracy, is yoga very hard? I don't know if I would be able to do it since I'm overweight and may have a hard time doing the positions. Or maybe you can recommend a beginners yoga tape? I do meditate quite regularly and try to keep my mind fit through meditation and creative visualization. Hope you are having a great day!!

Oh Chris, Taylor is going through the fear stage now as well. She has actually started hiding in the closet because she is scared I always tell her that I will keep her safe and that she doesn't need to be scared, but it doesn't really work. Poor scaredy girls. How's the weather on that side of the state? It's begginning to look a lot like christmas.....over here lol (see I can't sing very well either)

Well I better get off here and start working on my stuff! I will TTYL!!!
Have a nice day!!

Hey all just a quicky from me. TOok the kids on a Santa train ride, which was great, but the way home, the crying and whining and screaming was unbareable. They are both down for naps now! Thank Goodness. HOpe you are all well. I have to check on the challange for today...ttyl

Michelle- No snow here yet. It's colder outside than it was yesterday. Still keeping my finger crossed for a white Christmas. I don't think we even had snow last year. We took a pic on our digital cam last week. One of our planters actually has flowers trying to bloom. How crazy is that?!!!
Also, I'm glad (not to be mean) to hear that I'm not the only one with the scared child syndrome. I'm thinking maybe a little lamp or something instead of the night light. Someday I will get to have bed space...

I'm also a little bit up too in weight. I little over the 203 but not quite 204 yet. Oh well, guess I'll possibly lose a point. I just don't get it. You'd think with adding extra exercise and stuff that it would come off...but its not.

Hey Melissa-the train ride sounds fun. You're kids sound like mine today. Unbearable...I feel like duct taping some mouths shut just for some quiet. LOL. Aren't kids supposed to be "good" for Christmas so Santa will come? Mine act worse, I think.

Well the fighting continues. Better check out what the latest melt down is about and then sit down with Tiana and help her construct her biosphere for school. We always find these things out at the last minute. The thing is due on Monday....

Hi ladies!
I always think I'll just pop in for a mo, and then I end up writing a book! Anyway, I went grocery shopping this morning, got some survival food. DDs cleaned out both refrigerators and washed dishes while I was shopping so now I have more room to put stuff. Now we are cleaning the house so by 3-3:30 we will be done and can enjoy the rest of the weekend! DS in on the road now and will have a 10 hour trip to get here. That will be nice to have him here for 3 whole weeks!!! Didn't even start drinking my water today and have to do that. We are at -11 below and yup, it's cold but managable. I just don't like it when it was -39 last January and the car INSIDE the garage had trouble starting. Oh well, this IS MN not Florida!

Crystal- your van sounds so nice! I hope you are thoroughly enjoying it! It won't be long before the baby comes and the house is done too. You probably will have a very busy 2005! Sometimes I look back at my younger years and they have gone by in a blur! Aren't we all just so busy? I truly have respect for our grandmas and great-grandmas, who didn't even own a washing machine or vacuum and they got so much done! Still we are just as busy, how is that possible?

Tracy-glad you got your ticker working! Hope your toothache goes away too, nothing like that to make a day miserable! Have a great OP day!

Chris- My DD would wake up in the middle of the night screaming about spiders! She said they were on her! We would take her bed apart and everything! She's much better now but definitely is still a fraidy cat! Siblings don't help, they love other people's weaknesses! I don't think pickup trucks are so strange to like, they are kinda sexy.

Mel- glad you had fun on the train ride! I also glad of nap time. Thank goodness they just conk out or we'd be nuts! Had a good workout day? Lose any more? Your doing great!

Michelle-glad you got some good rest in, my sleep deprived friend! Hope that that pound will be history by next week too. Have a great OP day too!

Hi Deana- How are you doing today almost done with those stockings? I got your card in the mail thanks! Hope you have some fun today!

See... a book, well to all of you other moms, Jilly, Jeniqua, Kristin,Ricci, Penny, Spryng, Geri, Cindi, and all of you others! I thinking of you and wishing you a super-collosal fantastic day! Hopefully I'll BBL, I try hard!

Okay ladies, this is a fly by for me..Today has been really hetic. I just got home not to long ago from the Christmas toy giveaway. It was alot of fun being an elf for the day. I am definitely going to volunteer again next year! I haven't been OP all day. At the giveaway they had pizza and soda. I am getting ready to go to my church Christmas party in an half hour. I haven't over eaten and for that I am greatful. I ate 2 slices of pizza and desperately wanted another slice but I refused. Before I leave for the party I will drink water to fill me up so I'm not so tempted to eat alot there. I will be back to get personal with everyone..Hopefully everyone is doing better than me..LOL!!

Roxy, no exercise, not even the challange....BUT, I'm going to do it right now! I know it's late and I probably will not be able to fall asleep, but I have to do! At the very least the challange! Yes, naps are WONDERFUL, but Bugga didn't take his. All of a sudden I looked up and he opened his door and walked out and started to have a conversation with me... cute though. Got to luv 'em.

Jeniqua, great job on refusing that 3rd slice. Pizza is deadly! I eat a piece and gain a pound! I've been refusing the 3rd one too. Have a good one.

Ok all, off to do my challange and get some additional exercise in! White chicken Chili was dinner and chicken enchalada soup. Mexican theme tonight.
