Smile Morning Ladies

Hi all. Haven't had the coffee yet, thought I'd be able to skip, but I REALLY don't think so. Andrew slept TERRIBLE. The girls spent the night with my mil last night and Andrew woke up several times and wouldn't sleep long by himself. I'm not worried that it becomes a habit, for some reason Andrew goes through these spells. For a while, he'll sleep great and wake up once or twice but go right back to sleep by himself in his bed. Then he'll fall into this trap and not. So I'm so hoping for that nap later.

Mel, so sorry about Abilgail's hair. How old is she? Think you were surprised, a couple of months ago, I was TOTALLY shocked to see my oldest, 6 year old, cut Ally's hair. Just a peice on top, but obviously she wasn't brave enough to cut her own so she cut her little sister's. Abigail's right...it'll grow back. Almost every kid does it and don't you dare feel guilty. If it wasn't now that she did it, she would have found the right time and right place to do it anyway.

Chris, hope you're getting that christmas list made. I'm working on it too. I don't actually make lists though, I just buy and keep count of what I've bought and for who.

Deana, you do a great job and have lots and lots of fun. I'm gonna not do much today so I'll think about you, lol.

Hello to Jill, Michelle, Penny, Jaymi, Roxy, and all you other desperate housewives.

Okay, I think I'll start breakfast, maybe that will wake me up then maybe I can take a shower, pick up only the necessities and then do NOTHING. I'll check back later.

Good morning!
Way ahead of ya Crystal, got my coffee, but I'm not rarin' to go either. Marty keep waking up last night wanting to nurse but he really didn't nurse much. I think he just needed a nose-warmer, he's probably starting to teeth.

Michelle- what do you have planned today? Having fun or are you going to do the deep down cleaning thing. I did the shaving my legs thing too, lots of band-aids the next day!

Mel- Crystal is right, they all cut their hair!! Most of my older ones did. My oldest daughter cut her front bangs down to the scalp the night before we had Easter pictures scheduled! We had to buy a little white hat that morning. It still showed a little in the photo. Take a picture! Present a very large collage of all those memories on the night of her rehearsal dinner for her wedding. Remember what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger.

Crystal- hope you get your nap in today, are the girls spending all day at MIL's. I always felt like I had sleeping sickness near the end. Be good to yourself today!

Okay the numbers are in I only lost two pounds since last week, but that puts me at a solid 255 which still isn't bad. At least I'm down, and Marty's still eating too. I guess I like it when the numbers hit the next solid mark on the scale and I'm headed in the right direction. I still have to drink more water that might help too.
I don't know how often I'll be able to pop in today, I'm doing the deep down woofie hunt today. TTLY

Morning...
I'm not a desperate houswife today. I'm a desperately sleep deprived mom. Nicole was up most of the night. Literally every 5 min. or so. She's back to breathing bad-short labored breaths AGAIN! Out came the nebulizer. We are going to have a heck of a cold/flu season around here I guess.

Roxy-Congrats on the weight loss!

Kristin-Congrats on getting a warrior! I'll have to check out her guest book.

Michelle and Mel-My haircut horror story happened 2 days before school started. I went to put Kayla in Tiana's bed one night and picked a pillow off the floor and there was wads of hair under it with scissors. I thought she cut my niece's hair...then I noticed the color. Kelly was looking and he's all, "she didn't cut her hair." We laid her down and her hair fell back from her face. She had cut her hair all the way to the scalp. She left a little bangs and we've had to perform the good old "comb over" for a bit, but its finally growing in.

Crystal-Send some coffee...I seem to be experiencing your life lately. UGGHH! I am so tired and she is exhausted too. I'm hoping this little sick spell doesn't last too long. I've got the nebulizer out again. Didn't you say that they put Andrew on Singular? I'm kind of mulling around the idea of getting Nicole into an allergy doctor, instead of just her pediatrician, to see if there is something we can do to make this a little better for her. This is how Tiana started before she got an actual diagnosis of asthma, but Nicole is so much worse than her. I never had to use a nebulizer on Tiana.

Anyhow, good morning to the rest of you desperate housewives. We are cold here today and we got snow last night. Snow!!!! Michelle, maybe you can relate to that one. Well my little sicky baby is tossing and turning again. I better go check on her.

Just wanted to pop in real quick...

Kristen,
I signed Olivia's guestbook. I am so proud to call you my friend. My life feels so enriched knowing that I am doing something for others. Hugs to you!

Crystal,
Sorry Andrew still isn't sleeping well Did the girls go through this also? I sure hope it is better when he gets in his new room.

Melissa,
I am soooo sorry to hear about Abigail's hair I know what you mean about making you feel bad. I am the same way. I always think it is all my fault. I promise you it is not. At least she was honest and told you she was doing it.

Roxy,
Congrats on the loss That is awesome!

Michelle,
Hope you enjoy your rest You deserve it!

Ginny,
Sorry I missed ya yesterday. Hope you are feeling good

Thank you for all the comments on the article. I am just soooo happy to help others and bring the awareness out there. I have been blessed with all the riches in my life and I just want to shout it out...

Well I guess I need to get moving. Hunter and Nicholas both have belt tests for karate today... So excited for them.. Hunter gets to move to a new weapons class... but that means the boys are in different classes now so I have to stay two hours instead of one.. but it is worth it!

And then we have a bday party this evening for a friend of Hunter's... Hunter and Nicholas "say" they are staying the night but we will see....lol

Also I need some help...... I entered us into the city parade.. The theme is Cartoon Christmas so I need some Ideas to decorate our flatbed trailor

Ok TTYL PENNY

Chris, if Nicole's problem tends to be allergy related, talk to her doc about Singulair before going to a specialist. So far Andrew has been doing great with his singulair, but he usually got really sick, 2 to 4 times a year. So this really cold winter season will be a BIG test for us.
Sorry you didn't get much sleep. I don't think any of us need to really do anything today. Just drink some coffee or caffiene of some sort and other than the little things just lay around and nap. I'm up for it if you all are. And yes this last trimester is hitting me with tiredness. It's not too bad, but I can tell I'm alittle more drained obviously.
Okay, never had coffee, but took a shower instead. Made breakfast and made beds. I'm gonna go clean the kitchen, I've already vaccumed and I think I'll put on a load of laundry and then other than that, make me some International Coffee and sit back.
Hope the rest of you get some rest and take it easy today. TTYL

Crystal,
This is just almost entering the ridiculous stage with Nicole. I've had to use the nebulizer 5 different times now since the end of August. And each time I had to do it for a few days. Her body reacts the same way for colds and allergens. My oldest, Tiana, has asthma but hasn't even had to use the nebulizer as often or as much as Nicole. I've only used it on her a couple of times in her 11 years. The one common thread between the two is that neither had major problems until after they had bouts with pneumonia. Tiana had it when she was 5 and Nicole had it last year. She was hospitalized for 4 days.

well i'll type more later. My post is getting cut short because of Nicole's little wandering fingers. She wants some holding again.. Maybe I can rock her to sleep.

Chris, I am so sorry about Nicole. I'll tell... it is soooo hard isn't it?
Andrew had a bout of bronchitis and almost pnemonia twice by the time he was 6 months old and after that second time, that's when the doc said asthma. Of course, it runs very high in my and dh's family. What has the pediatrician said about all this? Have they at least tossed the word "asthma" around at all? You could get a second opinion. Andrew is the same with colds as well. Almost everytime he gets a cold it turns worse into this stuff. So the second we hear a cough or see a runny nose we immediately start the nebulizer up. We're actually suppose to give him 2 treatments a day every day along with the singulair, but that is just too dern hard. So we use it as we see it's needed. I hope Nicole gets better. Keep me informed.

Penny, none of my kids have been good sleepers but Andrew is totally the worst. For one, they say asthmatic babies don't sleep as well and bigger babies in size don't sleep as well and let's just say he's both.

Well, Andrew took a nap and I waited for just a bit before I laid down and then only got 30 minutes in and I'm finally having my coffee. I guess that was a power 30 minute nap. Okay, I'm working on school stuff. Just scanning ahead to see how far we'll be by Christmas break and such. Not long after Christmas break, we'll be breaking to have the new baby as well. Hard to time all that. Anyways, hope everyones day is going well. TTYL
