Default Pumpkin Muffins?

Does anyone know the pumpkin recipe that only involves a spice cake mix, pumpkin and water? What are the points for it also? Thanks so much!!!!

Hi Dannielle. I think this is the one you're talking about. I've got the ingredients at home but haven't made the muffins yet. I'm going to make them using the spice cake mix. (I copied this recipe off the WW recipes section)

Recipe: Chocolate Pumpkin Muffins

1 box Devil's Food cake mix

1 -15 oz. can pumpkin

1/2 c. water

Mix together and bake according to box directions. I would suggest using a muffin pan, not cupcake holder, as they stuck to mine. Spray with cooking spray, even if your pan is non-stick.

You can use Spice cake mix for Pumpkin Spice muffins.

Makes 24 muffins at 2 points each.

When you make this, let us know how it turned out! My mom had one of these cake and pumpkin recipes, and it was awful. She threw out the recipe so I don't know if it is like the one I've read here. She made it with chocolate, not spice cake. Maybe that makes a difference!

Well I tried these this weekend and enjoyed them. I made it with the spice cake and the only change I made was to add a big handful of raisens.

I made this too over the weekend using the spice cake mix. Instead of muffins I baked it in 2- 8 inch round cake pans and it turned out reaaalllllllly good. We cut it in pie shaped wedges and ate it warmed up with a dollop of cool whip lite on top. It tastes a lot like pumpkin pie.
