So I finally broke down and got on the scale at the YMCA...down to 267 and a half! Almost ten pounds gone in three weeks! I'm pleased as punch, especially considering that I almost didnt work out at all today. I stayed late at work for some clinicals (I'm taking a course in veterinary assisting) and I didnt get out of there till nearly 2:30 and I needed to be leaving the Y by 3:30 to get kids off buses. I nearly bailed but told myself "No, 45 minutes is better than nothing." I actually got most of my workout done!

Yay Lakegirl! You're right, 45 minutes is definitely better than nothing. That is exactly the mindset that is going to bring you continued success in this process. So give yourself a great big pat on the back, you're doing great!!
Well done - especially for not bailing on the exercise even though you didn't really feel like it.
I read a great tip in a slimming magazine the other day. It said mark your workouts in your diary, and treat them like an appointment that can't be broken.
