Shelley--thanks for the advice on the shoes/socks. Can I get socks with Coolmax at a shoe store? The shoes I've been walking in are the old ones I've had for three (or more) years--I definately need some new ones. I just hate to go shoe shopping, though. Seems like I never can find the "right" pair, so I just settle for the best ones I can find. Of course, I usually buy them at a dept. store. Maybe I should try Foot locker this time.
Had my measuring session last night. I've lost inches in some areas and gained in others (1/4 in my thigh & almost 1/4 in my hip area), overall loss of around 4 1/2 inches so far, though. I'm starting to actively count calories today, though, so next time I'll be looking for better results.
You can get socks with coolmax in them even atTarget or Walmart. I don't spend the prices for the name brand ones. If I were you, I would go to a real shoe store that specializes in walking and running shoes. If you go to a place like that, you can take your old shoes in and they can see how they have worn down and tell you what type of shoe you need. I did it and have been wearing the same shoe now for a year or 2. I wear Brookes Adrenaline running shoes. They are perfect for me. Now that I know the shoe I need to wear, if I see it on sale, I can buy it and save it for later.
Dee-Careful with that back, lady! Please take it especially easy these days.
Went 4.5 today--it was very windy out!

You all will never believe what Ms. Grace did last night.... I walked OFF THE TREADMILL. Then, when I was getting back on to it, I walked OFF THE OTHER SIDE To their credit, the girls behind the counter at the gym didn't laugh at me. I laughed at me! Good thing I don't embarass easily! Anyway, between all my acrobatics, I managed to stop the counter on the treadmill and lose track of the distance I had walked (twice). I know I walked at least 2 miles, probably closer to 2.5, but I'm going with the smaller #. And I rode 1/2 mile on the spinning bike.
Sherry do I see fins growing? I think that you are turning into a mermaid.
Cheryl you doing tricks on the treadmill? I am glad that you didn't get hurt. You are doing great. The cool max socks that Shelley suggested are great.
Shelley if it was windy it wasn't cold was it? We still have a little snow on the ground here.
Debbie take care of your ankle. Aquafit should be ok to do after a few days but if it hurts don't push it.
2 miles on the treadmill & 1 mile on the bike last night. (I can tell SUCH a difference in my outer legs, between the knee & thigh when I ride the bike)

I get to walk outside this week-end, since I'll be home. See y'all on Monday.
I went to the Y this afternoon, not really sure what I could do though. Had a light workout!! My foot felt fine but my tailbone is hurting now. Oh the joys of getting OLD!!
But the good news is I'm down another pound!!! 15 total!!!
WTG ALL my MOVIN' Floozies~~~
~~SUMMER COUNT DOWN~~
~~ 50 DAYS!!! down~~46 TO GO~~
Debbie-Awesome!! 1 lb. is great! Did you try water aerobics with your foot? Also, do they have a spa for you to relax in after your workout? That would help your tailbone and your foot!
Cheryl-Have fun!
Dee-It was windy but not cold. It was a bit cooler than normal, but today it is back to the high 70's, and tomorrow we will be back to the 80's.
Thank You Sherry for my new Chickie!!!! Now I'm working on one just like yours...LOL
Shelley.... We have a spa but I didn't have my swimsuit in my bag today. I'm sure it will help me tomorrow. I usually go to the Saturday morning Water Aerobics . The other classes don't fit my schedule.
I went to the Y and worked out for an hour this afternoon. It did take me 18 minutes to walk a mile though. I really think it helped me, feeling much better.
