Beach Beauties Chat - Tuesday, April 6
No weather whine this morning as it's a cold but clear sunrise out there! It seems a long time since I saw the sun.
Today was supposed to be greenhouse day but I am going to have to cancel. This pre-colonoscopy prep goes on and on so I wouldn't be much use there. I'll spare you the details! I'll just be darn glad later tomorrow morning when the darn thing is over!
So today, I'll be hanging around checking up on you chickies. Play nicely and NO sand throwing!

Good morning, Chicklets--
Ruth, you're having a colostomy??? Good heavens, I must have really missed something. But you seem awfully calm about it. I'd be a basket case! (((Hugs and good thoughts))))
I weighed this morning. Scale is still stuck, so I'm thinking of going back to Phase I for a week and see how that goes.
Oh, remember me being in a snit over Airborne yesterday? That arrogant, snotty, driver had the cojones to come into my office yesterday and argue with me about whether or not there was a package out there on Friday. He all but called me a liar even after I showed him the package and his note and told him he had to have practically stepped on the package in order to put the note on my door. After he left, I called the station manager and told him the story. He apologized profusely. I accepted but was thinking that that jackass driver should have been the one apologizing.
Well, time to hit the shower and get ready for the day.
Mamacita

Hi everyone, I'm hiding out here in the office while Jake paints the ceiling. I keep getting in his way! The ceiling paint is pretty neat - it goes on PINK, and it dries to white. That way you can see if you missed anything. Clever, huh?
Ruth, if you've ever had a colonoscopy before, the hard part is the "before" prep. The procedure itself really isn't as bad as it used to be, thank goodness. And it only takes about 10-15 minutes. Admittedly, though, it's not something to look forward to. Hope it goes quickly and smoothly for you.
Today is my dad's 74th birthday, so I have to stop in later to wish him well. I think he and mom are going to the casino to celebrate.
Well it's back to painting for me. I put some chili in the crockpot for supper so we'll have an easy meal. Made Ruth's TexMex Pork Chops yesterday, and they were delicious! Jake raved about them!
Have a great OP day!

Morning, Chicks!!
Oh, Ruth, I am sorry you get to feel like a guy in prison for a day... (sorry that was SO bad!)
Mamacita- I HATE it when carriers are stupid and/or lazy. I've taken to using UPS because, well, my UPS guy is pretty easy on the eyes (he's no Ellis' trainer, but he'll do!) and goes out of his way to make sure my stuff gets taken care of. DId I mention that he's HOT HOT HOT?
Cottage- what is this miracle paint?
Everyone else- Have a great OP day! I'm going strong already and to boot, I have on pointy shoes. You know, the kind from India/Pakistan with the curly toes? Making me EVER so happy to freak out the stoggy (made up word) lawyers and accountants upstairs. teehee!!

hello everyone. Seems like forever since I've been on here!
The miracle paint is Glidden. They have demos at all of the home depots (embarrassingly I've been to like lately).
totally off program. The good news is that I've only gained 3 pounds in two months, and still down 21, so I'm not complaining at all considering I've just been terrible.
kitchen is getting close to finished, I'll post photos so I can explain my MIA-ness.
On a side note. Does this mean that I can lose a whole bunch more like 15 pounds when I got back on phase 1???
It must be the construction fumes getting to me, right?
Ruth - I was screaming when I saw that. I was like, Oh my what have I missed.
Littlechick - great new icon, good job !!!

Good morning chicks! I'm off today; the window company had to send out a guy to replace our weatherstripping. The factory screwed it up. So the warranty is having to kick in. I must say the M&W windows people are great!
Well so far so good; I'm doing Phase 1.5 DH is home this week so decided to keep a few carbs in my plan. I weighed and I've lost that 2.5 pounds already! Although TOM is on the way.
Mamacita: you go girl!
Ruth: hope all goes well with your test.
I've pulled out my firm CD's and plan on starting these; I figure if I can just do some that's better than none. I've gotta get this belly off before the wedding! I did order the bunand thigh roller, I know I'm a sucker; but it actually looked like something that might work for me. I'll let you know when it comes.
Well better go see what DH is upto; we are planning on working in the yard planting a small garden and some azaleas today while I'm home once the window guy leaves. I'll try to check in later.

Alrighty, morning #2, I'm a little tired and have a bit of a headache, normal? Cravings last night made me just go up stairs and go to bed. It sounds like all of you have little tips and trades that work for you! How many of you exercised while on phase 1? And did you cook foods other than what was posted in the book, I was wandering around the site last night and some of the recipes sounded great! Well, I cheated yesterday on accident I bought no sugar added pops instead of sugar free, figured that one out after eating one and reading past posts. But other than that I made it through the day, so today I will buy sf pops and start again, kinda!
