Default Does anyone remember?

Does anyone remember a few years back when Heather ran an exercise thread? It was an accumulation of all the minutes we exercised together as team. She would usually start it off and then we would each add to it daily, weekly, monthly...whichever worked for us...we would make an individual goal and then try to beat the previous months total?
It worked for me and I tried to do it a year or two back but while everyone would read it, no one would post...I became very discouraged because I felt even more alone being on a support forum where no one wanted to participate...except my daughter..I just felt like a total stupid loser actually.
Does that sound interesting to anyone?

Hi Sweetcakes.
Sorry but this place is a morgue.
There is a monthly exercise challenge Chicks Up For A Challenge support forum on 3FC. Maybe that would be a more lively place.
Good luck.

Sweetcakes, I am not sure.
I wonder if that Biggest Loser study discouraged everyone?
Maybe they are all on Facebook?
Does anyone know?
I have been wondering this myself.

I think it made some people feel like it was hopeless.
When I was researching weight loss surgery the successful ones had to eat a lot less calories also. I thought screw it. It is what it is and I am going to get healthy. Do I want to live longer and be here for my family or do I want to greatly shorten my life for food? Now if I can just remember this on the difficult days...
Besides I don't think science has all the answers.

Thanks for the link Ubee. That's scary but I always thought part of the reason people gained the weight back is because they lost it so quickly.

Natasha I thought about that too...the object is to get to a healthier lifestyle you can incorporate and do regularly...you can exercise for an hour on a regular basis, you can eat healthy everyday.
You can't exercise for 8 hours a day every day forever...so you amp up the body to this insane metabolism and then chop it off at the knees. I think the study and story is so much more complex than that...what is happening to the body during their months on Biggest Loser and then wheres the support once they leave...it doesn't exist because they aren't making money for the show
