Precious: 235lbs to 160lbs Log
My name is Precious...YES that is REALLY my name! I have a 6 yr old little girl named Olivia (because I wouldn't have dared name her Princess) and a 2yr old son named Justin (because I wouldn't have named him King).
When you are named Precious you give your kids normal names so that they can find a keychain, not explain why their name is an adjective and not a noun, etc.
So at 33 I have literally been fat and skinny in my adult years. I got married in 2012, gained 15 on my two week honeymoon and ballooned up from there after I had Justin.
At this point in my life I have decided to take control of my weight instead of my weight taking control of me. My weight has prevented me from enjoying summer, going to parties, having fun, and experiencing the best part of life.
I am SOOOOOO Over that! I am done with fat. I am done worrying about how I look. I am done looking like a bum because I don't want to put my bum in the clothes that are actually my size. I am tired of pretending I don't wear a size 18. I am tired of pretending that the fat is going to just fall off. Mostly, I am sick of fat owning me and corrupting my lifestyle.
My name is Precious gosh dang it! With a name like that you don't want to be anywhere near the size of the woman from, well, the movie PRECIOUS!
I am off of my soap box.

Welp....I think I didn't think about the aftermath of the Chorizo nachos and the Wendy's faux pas. But I saw it yesterday morning on the scale. You didn't conquer me yet....but you did give me a slice of cellulite and I sucked it up and swallowed it down delightfully.
I downloaded an app tracker on my iphone called MYPlate after Tuesday's mistake lol... that definitely helped!
It's results:
Calories Consumed: 1718
Burned: 800 (Morning Workout 55 Minutes Elliptical 500 calories, Evening Workout 37minutes Elliptical 300 calories)
Net: 918

Lunch: 633 Calories, chicken quarter and 1 cup of rice
Snack: 380 calories, two more Chobani Salted Caramel Crunch (can you tell its my ultimate fave?)
Dinner: 515 calories, 2 baby chicken thighs and 1/2 cup cooked rice
34% Protein: 145.64g
31% Fat: 58.26g
35% Carbs: 148.5g

Same boat
Hey Precious,
I am in the same boat as you. I am right around your weight (and height) after having my third baby. I was doing great for about 3 weeks, but I got stressed, reverted to my old habits, and I am trying to get back on board. I would love to be your weight loss buddy, you know try to keep eachother honest.

I think today was awesome in outcome but horrible mentally. I am already thinking what if I fail? What if I don't follow through...ya know...AGAIN? What if this is all for nothing and six months from now I am still weighing in the 200s wondering why I can't get control of my life, my health, when only I can control these things? But today (the 4th) I've decided that the same trust that I give others to not hurt me, is the same trust I need to give myself to move forward in my life. I am trusting that I will take care of me.

Hi Precious and Super!
I just started today. I am 35 y.o. 238 lbs., 5'5". I got a loooong ways to go. My weight gain has happened in the last 3-4 yrs and has caused major depression. I haven't wanted to date, and with my age....I HAVE to get it taken care so that my confidence allows me to get out there and meet someone. I want children and a family and am running out of baby making years.
So here we go!!! I am determined. We can do this together.
Tomorrow: I will garden for a few hours and not chow down on any simple carbs. Simple goals.

Welcome Moe! This is going to be so much fun!
Welp....Looking at my goals for how I am going to get skinny is HILARIOUS. Very unrealistic lol. We'll just see what happens is what we'll do. One step and day at a time.

wow, somehow i've lost 6 lb's in 2 days?? must be water weight. Either way, I'll take it. I've steered clear of carbs and have eaten lean proteins but haven't exercised. I'll just keep at it. Usually it takes starvation to drop a pound.
Nice to meet you both! I'm diggin' the website!

OH please, can I be your weight loss buddy too? I need someone to brag to when I do well, as well as to cry to when I fail.
I have been overweight my entire life but it really got out of my hands when I had my girls. I had a set of twin girls in 2011 and another set of (again) twin girls in 2014.
And I had a daughter number 5 just two months ago.
A am now obese and I hate being THAT girl. I want to set an example to my girls, I want them to see me healthy and running around". I want my "overweight" body back to start with, and see where I go from there.
I am now 247 pounds (5 feet 8 inches). And that's just because I lost two pounds last week.
Having five children bellowe 5 years of age makes me so busy I will hardly have time to excercise, but I move a lot naturally so that will have to do for now. I know I have been eating like a pig so that must change!!! Sugar is the problem for me...
