I started to post this in another section of the forum with an apology for being so hippy-dippy. That was a clue that this should probably go here.

The last time I lost more than 2 pounds was when I was experimenting with an ayurvedic diet in January. I've been struggling since, which seems like a cue that I should be focusing on it again. Is anyone else familiar with ayurveda?

I'm either kapha-pitta or pitta-kapha (self-diagnosed, I haven't seen a professional.) Either way, it seems I'm currently suffering an imbalance of kapha - big surprise.

My dabbling with ayurveda is complicated by my parallel interests in both paleo and raw foods diets. Also, I can't decide if I want to be a fish oil-swilling bodybuilder or a crunchy hippy yogini. The two don't go really go together. I try to pick and choose the best of both lifestyles but I don't have a model to go by. I have yet to find a blog or magazine called Ripped and Crunchy.

Love it! LOL, yes, I have tried it before, just couldn't stick with it. Want hippy dippy? I lost my 1st 24 pounds on Linda Goodman's ( the famed astrologist) Red Color Diet. It doesn't get more hippy than Linda.
