Hence returning to IP to try and lose weight. But I don't do well with artificial sweeteners. I struck Splenda from my diet a long time ago and am now eating it every day in these products. I just don't do well with the stuff.
I have not up until now needed insulin, but my numbers have really crept up over the last month. I thought they would drop more quickly on IP. I think I may have to stay away from ALL sweet things and all of the starchy like things. I'm not sure what that leaves me with, the omelette.

ouch that is tough...but pretty amazing that you've been able to control it this long without prescriptions!
Sounds like you have an unusual body chemistry, and for that I would highly recommend bringing the diet up with your doctor. For 99% of people, IP works fantastically with little modification, even diabetics. But it sounds like you may be in that 1%, and coupled with a likely metabolic change from perimenopause it would be worth getting some hard medical advice on how to proceed.
