Welcome Working Like a Dog-Diana! Glad to have you join the group. I am also waiting until January to officially weigh-in. Then I plan to start the New Year in full force.

It is encouraging to work on this effort with others who are striving for a similar goal.

Hello everyone! I posted occasionally on the other thread but I intend to be a regular here. The idea of CADE sounds so positive! It's a great idea, Corinna. Several months ago I did an overhaul of my diet and have seen great results in how I feel with the healthy foods, but I still have issues of overeating and not exercising. I definately need the Committment and Attitude adjustments. I will make a conscious effort to start this today. My big food day was yesterday with no more celebrations planned in the coming week. And I will be full-speed ahead in 2015.

I'm looking forward to getting and giving support here!

Corinna, your Fettuccine with Walnuts recipe would work well with Zoodles...zucchini noodles...for those of us who are following low carb.

I have been posting on 3FC since 2011. Today is the first day I noticed the "attachments" on the little paperclip. Where have I been? LOL Is this something new? I especially love the one about the Weight Loss Patch.

Thank you for your warm welcome Corinna and Renee, and I am looking forward to being a part of CADE. Corinna, your recipe looks yummy. I am going to make a soup today but don't follow a recipe as much as add what is in the refrig. Not sure this is creative as it is practical, lol. It's nice to be reminded that vegetables have protein. So my vegie soup today will have spinach, califlower and mushrooms, all high in protein.

Hello Carol Sue and jessy, good to be part of a positive thread with you. I still have one more potluck this year on new years eve. Wondering if I can bring a potluck and a personal dish also(and avoid the potluck)?

Carol Sue:
--Glad to have you back with some dedication and focus. 2015 will be a big year concerning change for all us!!! I can just feel it.
--Regarding the recipe and skinny secret, I found them on Health.com. I look daily on the internet for a few minutes searching for suggestions/ideas to share with others that I think will help us all out on our journey.
--I love your zuchinni noodles suggestion!!! That is just the kind of input I am hoping to get on this thread. Input that helps others reach their individual goal. Thanks for sharing.
--I don't know how long the attachments have been around on this forum. I think I posted my first one in November 2013.

Jessy-Welcome to this thread!!!

Diana-I tend to modify recipes too depending on what I have in the kitchen or what I want. So we have that in common. Are you going to add any yellow peas or beans in your soup? I always like to have some in mine to make sure that I do get enough protein daily. Vegetables do have some protein, but it takes a lot more of them to equal what is contained in an 8oz portion of meat. Mushrooms are just a good substitute for meat sometimes when cutting calories, but for me, I still need to make sure I get enough protein for the day. You sound like you may be a rather creative cook in the kitchen? I bet you are a good chef!

Default Hula Hoops to the Rescue!

Looking for a new exercise to try with music? How about Hula Hooping.

I remember using hula hoops for fun in Elementary School gym class, and later using them at home with my school friends.

Some adults use hula hoops to get in shape using adult size hula hoops. Adult hula hoops are larger (at least 40 inches) and heavier (1-2 lbs) than those made for kids, which makes them a bit easier to use.

It is reported to burn 150-200 calories in a 30 minute period, and will help you lose inches all over your body, belly included.

I found a video which shows some of the moves you can do while using a hula hoop at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0T35RfJbw8

Right now I am just lucky to get the hoop to spin around my body more than 5 times. Practice, practice, practice. All attempts count in the 30 minutes.

See attached picture of girl using Hula Hoop.
