Good Morning IPeeps,

I hope everyone had a great OP weekend. I had a great weekend, got lots done, and stayed OP, surviving another party with tempting foods

No lbs lost this week, but I did lose a few inches overall, so not a complete disappointment.

I hope everyone has a great and OP week!

Default Struggling

I just restarted 12/1, I started IP Feb 2014, lost 42 lbs, then took about six weeks off plan during the summer. I got back on plan in August until mid October, then fell off about a week before vacation. I was down 51 lbs at that point.

Anyway, yesterday was my DHs birthday. I had every intention of staying on plan until I decided to have a drink at brunch, which led to another drink, and that lead to a few fries and a piece of mixed berry pie. Ugh, finally back into ketosis and I ruined it. I am trying not to beat myself up about it but in the past it has been so easy to stay on track. I guess the lesson I learned was "yes, one drink can hurt".

Good morning all!

Had a VERY productive weekend. More calories = more energy. Yay!

Starting my second week on P2. Lost 1.6 last week!

Had the most amazing NSV at work this morning. I came in early and only one other person (man) was here. I walked past his office and he says "Excuse me, can I help you?" I turned around and he said "Oh, Andrea, it's you. You have lost so much weight and look so different that I didn't even recognize you. You look fantastic." I also straightened my hair today and I seldom do that. I noticed my reflection in the glass office front and I almost didn't recognize myself either. In a few more months, once my brain catches up with my body, who knows? I may hit the dating sites!

You did this before - you lost 51lbs before - so you know you can do this. You also know what the downfalls of cheating are. Now you just need to tell yourself which you want more - to continue to lose weight or not. You can do this.

That's a great NSV! My Mom did that to me once - she said she didn't recognize me from behind, lol!

Good Monday morning all! Had a good weekend, rough hockey game for my son on Saturday but a nice relaxing Sunday. Baking some cookies and brownies for my son's hockey team gathering tonight - keeping my fingers out of the bowls!

Getting back into the IP routine after week one - remembering having to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes mostly

Have a great day everyone!

catlady - wow, that's a great NSV! I bet it felt awesome. Dating sites, look out!!! LOL!

---------------------

All is good here, lost 4.2 at my weigh in on Saturday, so I was very happy with that. Hoping to stick it out this week and see another loss.

Not many challenges that I forsee this week, just looking forward to staying OP and challenging myself to do the best I can!.

Oh - I guess I surpassed my 1st goal of being 25 lbs down by Christmas! Now to think of my next one....hmmmmm!!!

Happy Monday! Survived a busy weekend, with another one on the horizon. I love the holidays, but I wish there wasn't so much "rush" associated with them.

Got my Les Mills Pump program from Beachbody in the mail, I started Saturday and can tell it's going to be GREAT for strength training. No cardio, but definitely gave me a good muscle workout. Now that I'm close to goal I feel like it's the right time to add back exercise and make it a habit before maintenance. Today will be day 3!

Had some bad news over the weekend, a good friend's brother passed away from Mitochondrial disease. He was only 2 years older than me, he had been sick for a very long time but it's still tough. Wake and funeral will be this week, it's so bittersweet because he was such a great person and we'll miss him, but he had literally no quality of life over the last 5 years or so. So sad to lose friends so young.

scorbett - sorry to hear about your friend, that has to be tough. On another note, I also have the Les Mills Pump at home and I freaken love it! I have decided to introduce it back to my routine, just going to stick with the easy ones for now and see if it affects my weight loss. It's really amazing at how strong it makes you! Good luck!

Yay! I went for my first weigh-in today (2.5 days after starting IP), and I'm down 2.6 pounds! I know it's mostly water weight, but it still feels good to see it going in the right direction. I hope the trend continues for my next regularly scheduled appointment in 7 days.

Thanks to all on this forum -- you are amazing!!

Good Morning. These past few days have been the most difficult since being on IP. Long story short, my dad is in the hospital, double pneumonia and they found a spot on his lung. He had a biopsy done this morning. He was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer in Oct. They removed it and gave him a clean bill of health. So here we are waiting... and I am trying my best not to stuff food in my mouth to cope with these feelings...so far I am doing OK. If you are a praying person, please say a prayer for my family.

Stress and/or comfort eating has always been my biggest weakness. So hard to fight, but you can do it.

Sending up prayers for you, your dad, and your family.

Kelly - will definitely pray for your family today. The waiting is just awful, but I hope you hear some positive news.

On another note, if you've been here a while you'll see the "detox" question make it's way around the boards every so often. I found this article which others might find interesting - it reiterates what I've said all along....your body already detoxes on a daily basis through your lungs, kidneys and liver - if your internal organs are functioning, there is no toxin buildup to deal with.

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. No matter how sick, even when we know it's "for the best", our hearts are still broken.

Take care of yourself...
