Shoot, had a post almost done and lost it!

Ruth, are you sleeping in?!

Work has been WAY better this week, and I think my eating has been too. After I'm done sitting here I need to throw Hoppin' John into the crock pot, which I really enjoy. DH won't be here tonight and tomorrow night, so I'll have to make sure I get stuff prepared since I get home so late.

I read everyone's post, but don't take the time the next day to go back through them. I'm glad I get to visit you every day though .

Morning chicks. Can't believe it is Wednesday already. The week is going quickly for me.

Just another work day for me with nothing special happening (which is ok with me)
Got to run, will check in later.

Been up since 5. I seem to be back into my early morning wake-up. Actually, my bladder gets me up, the dogs hear me and start their "Mommy! Mommy!' whimpering and I come downstairs to let them out. They come in, have breakfast and then head back to bed.

"Let's Get 'Er Done!" is exactly what I needed this morning. I have definitely been goofing off so far this week. After my unplugged mini-holiday, I am having trouble getting back in gear - not sure if I need a thumb in the bum or a carrot on a stick. Yesterday I actually found myself reading the New Yorker in the middle of the day! I did manage to get to the bank and post office and then did something rather silly. Leeks were on special and I bought way too many of them. (I swear I was the mother of 12 in a previous life!) I cleaned and sliced half of them and packaged for the freezer. Then discovered I still have several packages from last year. Time for a freezer purge!

Today I need to pull myself together and just get on with stuff! I'm supposed to audit the Garden Club books and have been stalling on that. I have Pet Therapy this afternoon which may prod me into action since it's at the Clinic where we are having our big quilting group sale on Saturday. I do have my quilt finished and some Christmas craft stuff done but still need to bake for the sale. I may make some fudge with my leftover maple syrup - that always sells well. (Sorry for the food porn - I forgot where I was! )

Enough chatting - time to get on with life.

Let's Get 'Er Done!

Hi there, Beth. Yup, Hump Day sure does seem to come often. SSSHmas is looming ahead and so is snow. (I ordered Yak-Tracks yesterday from Amazon since I lost one of mine last year.)

Good morning!

I've been going on very little sleep and a stomach virus the past few days, combined with working late. Last night, I didn't get home until 10pm, and ended up sleeping (finally!) until 6:30 this morning. Of course that screwed up everyone else's schedule, but I feel so much better today. I can still feel a little tenderness in my tummy, so I'm still sticking to the BRAT diet again today.

Now I'm running late and have to hurry, so I may check in again this evening.

I hope I"m finally over my Hump today!

Linda glad you are feeling better, but still try and take it easy today. What is BRAT diet?

Ruth there is nothing wrong with reading the New Yorker in the middle of the day. You are constantly on the go and doing for others. Listen to your body.

Tammy hope your day goes smoothly. I made garlicky shrimp with spaghetti squash last night. Have enough leftover for two dinners. I may throw Cheesy Mexican Chicken in the crock pot on Tuesdsy before I get my mom. I think she will enjoy it.

Beth this week, heck this month is flying by.

Today I am relaxing until the evening (going to the range). I plan on making my grocery list for next week (maybe ill go shopping later). Pay the bills. Next week is going to be quite hectic. I feel badly my mom will only be here for a few days and I have to work. Oh well time for more coffee anyone care to join me?

Good morning I am supposed to be off this morning because I am driving to Burlingon this afternoon and working straight through to Saturday night. Of course I am actually up early getting last pieces done so I can get a couple of hours of family time in before I leave town SSDD I guess. I don't usually go out at night when I'm at these things so maybe it will be so boring I will actually get some sleep

Cottage - glad you are feeling a bit better.

Hoping your Hump Day is an easy slide toward the weekend

Good morning!

It is still morning here.

Thanks, Tammy, for getting us started this morning! Get 'er done that's my motto!
I, like Linda, slept in a little bit this morning. Woke up at 6:30 then had a lot to do before picking my mom up to take her to her eye appointment in Denver. I went to the bank and I've been taking advantage of a little bit of me time. I sat in the car and used the banks Internet to update my new iPhone 6. Now I am set up for Apple pay. We'll see how it works.

My college roommate who lives in Seattle is in Denver this week for a conference. She would like to go to dinner tonight so I'll go back up the hill and then come back down later.

Pearlrose, kudos on your clean eating. 6 pounds is great it just shows us that it really works.

My little process just killed an hour. My mom should be ready for pick up soon. I'm going to stop by Sprouts here and stock up in my smoothie veggies.

Have a great day everyone!

Very frightening stuff happening. I an so glad not to be living in Ottawa. The downtown is under lockdown and friends working near Parliament are probably going to be spending the night at work. I assume the airport is closed.

Ruth, I am glad you are not closer to Ottawa. I pray it is all over and that it was just the one person.

I had read your earlier post from work and wanted to also let you know that I just received my Yak-Tracks from amazon too. Just one of the must haves for winter time.
