Yay we have a new thread! <3
Well, so far I've had about 800 calories, I have to take my medication (clindamyacin for my tooth infection) at around 4:30 or so, so I'll be eating a bit with that, I am hoping to stay within my calorie goal of 1630 (as set by My Fitness Pal to lose 1 1/2 lbs. per week), will update later today!
Yesterday I clocked at 1,366 cals. For me, this is pretty low but I had a pretty unhealthy weekend of birthday parties and weddings. So I'm trying to get back into the game. I did go to the gym yesterday and torque 608 cals too so it was a good deficit.
Hey LilDazed, I think we're the only ones who showed up to the party so far lol. I did the math and realized we have 16 weeks remaining in this year and I don't intend on wasting them. In my adult life, my lowest weight ever has been approximately 260 lbs. (back in 2005, from a starting weight of 321 and I did a lot of unhealthy stuff to get down to that size), well since being on this journey my lowest has been 260.8 (without clothes lol) so I feel the whole been there done that thing. Right now I am trying to right the wrongs I did to my body during the past couple of weeks, and I'm very close to completing that, I gained around 10 lbs. from overindulging in Annie Chun's Ramen Noodles & Kind bars (both are delicious and devastating to my weight loss goals). I won't rule them out completely, but I am pausing my Amazon.com subscription to them, my self-respect, health and goals are worth more than crap food. *end rant* lol
I am now back down to 262.2 (in lightweight pajamas) and I am going to keep on pushing throughout this year, my goal is to reach 240 by December 31, 2014, but if I am honest with myself and all of you, I'd like to lose more than just 22 lbs., more like 30. Since I don't do much exercise I am scared to turn that wish into a goal, but perhaps soon I will. In the meantime the official goal is 240 by the end of the year, and I plan to stick to approximately 1600-1800 calories a day everyday to make it happen.
Today's calories were 1,616 , one of my lowest totals ever lol. I will try to report back tomorrow hopefully w/similar numbers, wish me luck! <3
Hello everyone,
My name is Roxanne. I was a member of 3 chicks before....but honestly....wasn't really wanting to lose weight. Fast forward a few years later, I have moved and changed a lot of things in my life and realized some things....like food was ruling my life. I have a different attitude and outlook on food. I am back to calorie counting because it helps me be aware of what I am putting into my body. I wear a fitbit and sincerely try and make my goals daily. I go hiking 2 to 3 times a week. I set goals for my weight loss (with the reward of getting a new piece of hiking gear. Before goals were always food related so didn't work). I am actually only 9 pounds away from my first goal (which will be my lowest weight in 5 years -277).
Anyway, I realized yesterday that I really wanted to talk to people that are in the same frame of mind as me. So here I am.
So far today I had pizza eggs for 240 calories and a yogurt for 180.
Hi again. I haven't been very strict on my calorie counting since I've met goal, mainly because I'm finding it to be hard/I'm being lazy. It should be easier for me since I'm not working anymore and I cook all 3 meals every day but it's not happening.
I haven't found a workout program to join since moving. I am still doing my 8 introductory TRX classes (5 down, 3 to go), I have taken up running 3 miles twice a week with a neighbor, and I completed my first week of Shaun T's Focus T25 workout DVDs (Beachbody program.)
I read the tail end of the first Daily Check In thread and in response to k15g15's question asking if anyone has seen their weight go down quicker when adding weights to their workouts...I did not. BUT--a BIG BUT here (no pun intended), it dramatically changed the shape of my body. I had always incorporated weights into my workout but when I got serious about dropping pounds, I went heavier on the weights and stricter on the calorie intake. I dropped sizes like crazy but the scale moved very little. When I started working out with moderate weights, I was (squeezing into) a size 12. After just a few months of that, I only lost 5 pounds but I was then (squeezing into) size 8 jeans. Once I decided to lift heavy and really watch my food intake, I quickly (like in 8 weeks) dropped to a size 6 and I'm currently smack dab between a 4 and a 6. (Can't quite squeeze into 4s, nor do I really want to.) Once I stopped the weights, I did lose around 5 pounds very quickly, but I don't mind 5 pounds of muscle, know what I mean? I'd like to pick the weights back up soon.
I'm trying to add pics, but I'm having trouble with my "before" pic. I'll keep working on it.
I'm talking to myself over on the volumetrics thread, so I'm popping in here.
Ok, I actually weighed myself today instead of going by feeling and I'm 129.4. That's way out of my comfort zone. I tend to stay right around 123-125, even though I want to be 10 lbs less than that (now 15!)
I have a big family party coming up in November and the last thing I want to hear is that I look chubs. I hope to lose 9lbs by that time.
I have a lot to batch cook this weekend, but also a lot of things taking up my time, so I'm limiting myself to just 2 soups, 1 stew, 1 chili, and 1 breakfast egg cup. Just the basics.
New again [old member] I have a new goal
to eat 15-20% subtracted from my TDEE but
I have yet to know that it will work. Yesterday
I ate 1536. Today it's all prelogged at 1491.
My fitness has nullified many calories though.
I have yet to see how eating this way may
benefit me with exception I'm less hangry.
I am now 264.8 (according to my new scale labeled on Amazon.com as EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale w/ Extra Large Lighted Display, 400 lb. Capacity and "Step-On" Technology [2014 VERSION] - 10,000+ Reviews EatSmart Guaranteed Accurate) it cost $28 and change and says I weigh 3.6 lbs. more than my $11+ CVS digital scale says I weigh lol. I am .2 lb. down from yesterday when it had me at 265 even. Ah well, I am not really worried about the 260's anymore I have my eye on the prize of the 250's *evil laughter*
I am just going to hunker down and eat right trying to stay between 1600-1800 for the next few weeks straight, my b-day is coming in mid October and I want 257 for my birthday. Even if I don't make it, I hope to at least break into the 250's, I'll take 259! lol No more "cheat days" for the next few weeks, I can be naughty on my b-day, w/a pint of Haagen Daaz Tiramisu ice cream, but for now, I just want my fruits, quinoa, black bean soup, hard boiled eggs, etc. that will get me from point A. to point B. , you know?
Anyhow calories for today will be 1,737 of 1630, I am 107 over. I am also trying to eat the majority of my calories before dinner, and I like that so far.
today i ate 1748 kcals which is ok since it is my first day to calorie count i also need to start exercising which i will start tomorrow since i have a dentist appointment tonight so i wont be able to go to the gym , wish me luck in my journey
I've noticed that some of you all aren't eating enough!!!! Please be careful!
Today, so far: 565 calories
Breakfast: EAS protien shake: 100
Slice of wheat bread: 100
Lunch: Split Pea Soup: 350

Dinner will be grilled chicken breast, 1/2 cup of brown rice and 1/2 a plate of veggies, probably peas. I'll have a snack of greek yogurt and an orange AND a cheese stick before kickboxing.
Just started calorie counting up again and its been going well. My goal is 1200 -1400 with one cheat day a week (But tryin to keep it under 1800), cause although I want to lose weight I want to be able to stick to this long term!
Saturday 1300 +C25K = Net ~1150
Sunday 1150
Monday 1156
Tuesday 1201
Wednesday 1174 +C25K = Net ~1000
If anything I can eat a bit more! Wooo!
